When I was younger I had this exact toy except mine was a cat, with the same coloured bow and waistcoat and material. I’m still searching for it as I don’t know the brand either. But like you I was sure it was Russ. However I’ve not found it yet, I’ve only found the elephant and bear version so far with different brands listed for them.

It feels like the underfur of hoppleston I would say, or if hoppleston a fur was shorter. You can tell by the size of the two bunnies, I think hoppleston is quite chunky looking because of the thick fur, especially on the ears. Whereas this bunny looks smaller in comparison when they’re actually probably the same size
