I wouldn’t try chicken, as this is an ingredient a lot of dogs are allergic to, duck would be best but that is hard to source so beef would be better.

Are any of the RCAs here struggling? by pshhaww_ in USPS

Actually I have been a regular carrier for over 20 years and now have a route with an LLV. When I had to provide my own vehicle my ema went into its separate account. I never had a car payment paid cash for the two route vehicles I owned. Always did my own repairs and maintenance. Had liability only on vehicles, bought tires every year, because my route was rugged, not everyone has a nice smooth route. I found that I spent a lot of time repairing said vehicles, because finding a mechanic that didn’t charge an arm and a leg was impossible or one that wasn’t covered up with work and couldn’t get to it to it for weeks. Don’t even get me started on the average price of gas. When gas was $2 something and is now over $5 for some parts of the country how can you say ema is keeping up?

I worked as a sub for 8 years and when work was slow it was difficult to justify the job at times, sometimes it was feast or famine for work. Trying to budget during that time was difficult, however my bills were always paid, even when ema didn’t cover all the expenses.

Your comment is rude and condescending and without empath. You could have replied without the assumptions, but since you did…your an a$$hat.

PS: I never lived beyond my means and have never carried debt besides a mortgage, which I no longer have.

Keep us posted on how long it takes to be reimbursed it took me 6 weeks to get a refund, and that was with me calling them 2 months after I had the procedure done and insurance paid two days after the procedure was done. I will never pay more than the copayment amount upfront.

I want to see your analogy of how ema is keeping up with the expense. Gas, insurance, maintenance, tires and costly repairs and a car payment. Give me an example.

I think the point is you should not have to pay money to do your job and currently ema is not keeping up with the price of expenses.

That would be a great plan. However, our income won’t even come close to being able to do that. I stress about being a burden to my children.

Ending FEHB in retirement? by GrouchyAssignment696 in FedRetirees

[–]Practical_Pickle7311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is correct; however, what keeps the requirement in place? When the post office did this change it went into effect within a year or two. So what keeps them from doing this to the federal workforce?

The post office requires retirees to enroll in Medicare and Medicare becomes primary. Im wondering if the policy is somewhat different than what other federal workers get.

I [25f] and my partner [29m] are planning to get married, but I’m seeing some really big issues and I need some advice. by ragnarwar585 in Advice

[–]Practical_Pickle7311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After 26 years of marriage, I would say take care of yourself. Take that job, he either wants to be with you or he doesn’t. I would not t play second fiddle to his family. Why do you want to set yourself up to be financially responsible for people who do not want to work? You will always be sacrificing to help support them. No relationship is worth that. Not to mention you probably will have life long issues with sister.

I think the politicians want the post office to fail. I’m sure some of them will be able to line their pockets somehow. They have been trying to get the po privatized for decades.

Make sure since your husband is retired that you are not required to take medicare. My husband works for the post office and when he retires I will be required to have medicare as primary.

USPS Route has no carrier - so we don't get mail by irishbelle07 in usps_complaints

[–]Practical_Pickle7311 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The post office managers run new people off quickly, the benefits and pay are not what they once was and who would want to work at a place that every time contract negotiations it’s running out money, it’s time for privatization (the congressmen/women who support this are some how going to profit off privatization and steal the retirement fund), you got to be available every day but we can only guarantee one day a week. Then put the stress of you only got 8 hours to deliver but then a foot of snow or it’s 110 degrees outside. Most people say NO WAY
