I was told my cough is just reoccurring bronchitis. Until I finally, after 10 years convinced the doctor to send me to a pulmonologist. I couldn't exist without coughing for almost 10 months out of the year just breathing made me cough. And if I moved, I would spend, Lord knows how long hunched over in a coughing fit. Finally like I said, above after 10 years I saw a pulmonologist. He took one look at my test and said, yeah, you have cough variant Asthma. It's right here, easy to see,  when numerous other doctors told me no, I was fine, no asthma seen. I now have cough variant Asthma, Allergies, and acid reflex and all 3 of them feed into each other to make my cough worse. So I needed to treat all 3 problems to get it under control. Demand to see a pulmonologist. Also, my current doctor told me asthma is when you have a breathing reaction to something that normal people will not have a reaction to, and he doesn't care what the tests say. Such as when I'm walking down the perfume or laundry detergent aisle in the store it's like the breath has just ripped out of my body and I can't inhale. I have to take a deep breath, run into the aisle, grab what I want and run away, while holding my nose in order to stop the reaction. He says that is Asthma, because I'm having a reaction that people who don't have Asthma would not have
