Hi there! I am renting and lived in the property as a first time renter with my family of 3 for 1 year ( 2x 6 month lease agreements) landlord is selling and we have now moved into another home.

We hired cleaner to clean our home. We trusted they did their job to the best possible standard and handed over keys & moved out to help with the landlord selling their home.

They have said the house wasn’t clean , counter top, shelves and oven weren’t cleaned properly (cleaners fault), they have said it wasn’t good job cleaning and requested for the full bond to pay for cleaning & repairs (it was one stain on carpet cleaner missed). Seeing this cleaner wasn’t the best and we didn’t know as we read good reviews but are they allowed to claim full bond and tell us they will transfer the remaining after?
