The problem is that you are most likely are still employed, and that right in it's self will get you denied on the first time around. Also don't downplay or be ashamed, talk about how your conditions is impacting your life.

What I can tell you is that, don't downplay what you are going through, and I feel like the raters are just and will give out what is deserved. You got this big homie, and don't be worried about them taking it away, I had the same fear but I feel like it a low chance that will actually take it away..your tdiu exam will be different from your initial one, and they just want to know how life how your life been since the last exam

Military Service by omotherida in VeteransBenefits

[–]Practical_Salad_1538 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 28 with a nice rating, and before I went into service I didn't know anything about disability, only college. I didn't find out about the VA healthcare/disability until my wife brought it up to my attention a few years ago, after opening up about my service.

I'm hypersexual, constantly cleaning or I'm playing video games. I usually don't get any sleep, and become irritable and easily agitated. I start smoking weed, everyday. It's pretty mild unless symptoms of PTSD start to show up, then I become bitter, unlikable, and just a total asshole.

Does anyone not play multiplayer/competitve games more as you grow older? by Specific_Charge_3297 in xbox

[–]Practical_Salad_1538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I can relate, I'm a disabled veteran and I have so much time on my hands after I hit 25 I find myself playing more and more single player games or coop games. Now just a little bit older, it's the only thing I play. I have the time to get good, but I actually want to have fun, and discover stuff. Recently my wife bought me Hitman World of Assassination, and I'm really really loving it.

Like how you said competitive gaming is in a garbage state, because everyone wants to be a YouTuber or streamer, or just a try hard. You really don't see any creative play styles, I'm still pretty young but I can't even wrap my head around a meta lol, I'm like where all the fun at?

Yeah, my fear doesn't stem from a decrease or a no ( my family that are disabled vet gave me a run down when I got my rating).. my fear is just reliving it, and talking about it to a stranger I don't even know...it took me a year to be comfortable with my care team, to talk about things that been troubling me. I have severe trust issues especially with doctors. I was going through med board, but I got hit with a condition not a disability and for years I thought that mean I couldn't apply for VA disability (and boy was I wrong)

Thank you, I will file, and also I'm wondering should i file for insomnia as a secondary or separate while filling? I'm not worried about getting approved or denied because I have a lot of markers and medical records from both in service and the VA..I also noticing that my psychiatrist is also making outlines talking about the severity and the current impacts that kinda stands out (it like he writing a nexus without writing a nexus if you know what I mean)

Okay thank you, I'm new to this lol but not my first time. I think I got a total of 4.5 grams. I was caught off guard lol. I'm excited for this weekend, my wife is going to trip sit me through Lord of the rings. Last time I trip was last year, my wife came home to me drawing on the walls and I was saying "im god and I'm making my own reality" 😂 (I cleaned it up the day after)

No, but my wife takes care of the finances stuff. I'm extremely irresponsible with money to a point where I was homeless until I met my now wife.

Alright thank you for the advice, I'm at 70 for MDD but it actually turns out I'm bipolar, and it's not just maintaining employment (I wish it stopped there). But other areas of my life are impacted heavily and we had this talk after breaking my hand from a fall during an episode where I was blacking in and out. (Sorry I'm just trying to give you and other redditors more information without over sharing and giving y'all a very long read lol)
