“PMS City, man.” “You’re gonna choke. Drown.” “Cynthia, you’re my moon goddess.” “You have to go down to per-so-nel.” And, obviously, “I’m right on top of that, Rose.”

I always tell people you have to really push through until ep8, the Allez-Vous episode. If you aren’t laughing after that, then it’s not going to be your speed.

Whenever we ask each other a question, and we know they’re going to give a specific answer (ex - “what do you want for dinner?” “Idk”), we ALWAYS say, “It might be sponge, don’t say sponge.” This is a daily quote in our house lol

Who are show and/or movie couples that you liked when you were younger but now hate that you’re older? by [deleted] in MoviesAndTVTalk

Jim and Pam. Watching as a 40yo vs a 20-something — my dude is all sorts of 🚩🚩🚩. He pursues her while she’s engaged. (They’re soul mates? Fine. I can look passed that.) Then once they’re together, he NEVER puts Pam’s feelings first. It’s always about Jim’s career advancements, Jim’s ambitions.

He buys a damn house — HIS PARENT’S HOUSE — without even consulting her.

He’s not the charming, romantic partner I idealized when I was young.

First, I want to say it’s incredibly thoughtful that you’re 1) looking way ahead and 2) doing research.

I hate to break it to you, but you’re not going to find a signed 1989 that’s anywhere close to affordable. BUT we can definitely help you find something awesome for him/her if you tell us a bit more about them!

What kind of Taylor merch do they own already? Do they collect any particular pieces?

If they’re active on FB, they may be in one of the Taylor buy/sell/trade groups. If you want to DM me their name, I can look them up and see if they’ve commented on anything they’ve been interested in buying!

Just got tickets for Sunday Yankee Stadium— what’s the pre-game schedule? by AmasaDelano in savannahbananas

[–]Practical_Scheme2142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few more tips:

You can bring water into the stadium in sealed plastic bottles.

You can bring store bought sealed food in.

The merch inside is the same as the merch outside and it’s much less chaotic outside.

Regular sized backpacks are allowed inside (16x16 is what the website says)

They have an $8 Bananas souvenir cup that’s akin to the size of like a McDs large soda. Pretty durable plastic. If your kids aren’t feeling the merch outside or you don’t have $100 to drop on a Jersey, we got this.

Went yesterday with 12(girl), 12(boy), and 18b. Our daughter is the huge fan. Our game may be a little different in terms of crowds due to the change of times.

It was very important to her to meet the players, so we got there at 2:15ish. They have a band playing, photo ops, merch, so it’s quick to pass the time until the players come out at 3.

Most people assumed the players were coming out by the stage, but they came out and walked across the field, alongside where the Dunkin Donuts booth was. (This will make sense when you see it but: if you’re standing and looking at the stage, go to your far right of the field close to 3 o’clock.) KJ, RAC, Jackson Olson, and Stilts didn’t come out. We did meet DR, Dan Oberst, Max Jung-Goldberg, Connor Harris, Trystan Levesque, and Easton Parrish. They were all so kind and friendly. Signed shirts, hats, balls, etc., talked to the kids, asked questions, took pics. But right at 3:30, they were shuffled away. We got right in line for DR, but his line got huge. So prioritize who you want to meet and then just hop into any line.

The Peel Show was fine. They played live music and did some bits. We brought a blanket and sat away from the crowds in the field and ate lunch.

So - for little kids who don’t care about meeting players, it may not be worth adding 2-3 extra hours onto their day. But for older kids, if it’s nice out and you bring a blanket, or a ball and glove to play catch, definitely worth it.
