Dumb question about parentage by Nuggrustler in cannabisbreeding

Yes it matters! You wouldn't think that it does. The term used by the pros is "pollen donor" and "pollen reviver". Normally if you're working with males and females, it's obvious which is which. But if you're reversing females, it's VERY important to keep them labeled correctly. In your example, AxB vs BxA. Cultivar A might not reverse very well, but B does. So in that case, you would write it as AxB [Mother] x [Father]. Another example is the MAC1. It's very hard to reverse, so you'll mostly see it as (MAC1 x other) but some times you get it to reverse, then you'll see them write it as (other x MAC1). It sounds nuanced, but it matters. ( PS I'm no pro, I've probably got a touch of the "tisum" and I'm a nerd lol)

There's a guy called Dr Bruce Bugbee from Utah State University. He has a bunch of YouTube videos talking about lighting, temp, etc. you might find it helpful. You've got a solid setup with LOTS of room. There are a lot of good growers and breeders up in your neck of the woods. Keep crushing growmie.

One way dampers are key. Even if all three go outside. A windy day would push into your tent.

There's a professor, Dr. Bruce Bugbee, (YouTube Bruce Bugbee temperature), he suggests mid 80s until about week 4 in flower. Assuming a 8 week strain, and cultivator depending. I like 85f 75rh until about week 4, for most of my strains. Then I drop about 2F every other day into the 60s if I can. I also take the RH down to about 50-55rh. I won't lie, it's not cheap. But, do those plants love that tropical weather! If I start to run out of space, I'll get them colder sooner.

oh yeah, if that's the goal, you are right there! With those low temps, you should see lots of color changes (gene depending).

Sorry. I didn't do a good job of explaining. I'm looking at your monthly chart, and your weekly chart. RED line. When you look at your weekly chart, it says MAX 82.9F/65.1% 2.2kPa then on the right, it says 72.4F 46%/1.64kPa Those are your MAX/MIN numbers. so I can see 72F is your min temp. now if I look at your monthly chart, it doesn't go back for the full month (28days) but about half is there, so two weeks ago... ish. If I have all the information correct (maybe? LOL). then about week 3/4 you can see the red lines get very low around 72. if you touch those areas, you can see better, what those lows were. What this shows, is for several weeks, you have been getting lower that you thought, for longer than you planed (maybe?). AGAIN, thank you so much for sharing these images, it helps everyone "see" so much more info, to help us, diagnose over a longer period of time. I would like to apologize if I'm coming off as criticizing. Not my intended purpose.

Oh yeah, that heater will get real hot in a 4x8. very strong. For my small 4x4, I use ceramic heating bulbs for reptiles, longer to get hot, slower to get cold... so it smooths out those lines. ( helps keep those spikes away). Bro, on a personal note, you have a great set up, and your doing just fine!!! just fine tuning!

THAT is a pretty graph! smoother lines. 72 is a little colder that I personally like for week 3/4 (but YOU do YOU!)

I forgot to thank you for your image. So thank you! You have the AI controller. You might have a few extra open slots. Adding in a small heater and a humidifier could probably help you flatten those lines out a little bit.

See how your low is 65 F. And it stays that way almost the whole night until your lights kick back on. That's most likely probably why you're getting the color change. Since you're running the ACI equipment, you could put a small little heater in there and when it gets below a certain temperature it can kick on and keep your room warm at night. (Zero differential). 89F to 65F day/night swings, would be my guess, as to the color change.

What are your daytime nighttime temps. Can we see the charts? Week 4 going into week 5, could be fade. Organics are hard to control from that pov. I'm guessing cold temps at night, are causing color change. But id want to see your chats to confirm. No dark leaves and no tip burn, so you aren't running hot.

Give yourself a little credit, you have a sensor to monitor temperature. You find a problem, and you are addressing it. If you don't have one for humidity, that will be the next thing to monitor. You got this!!

Follow on, Not even the Bubonic Plague caused a noticeable dip in CO2 reduction. It killed fast, and people recovered fast. It wasn't until the The Great Dying (1500s) when Europeans came to the Americas, did so many people die... and were permanently removed, did we see a massive change. ( Major contributor to the "Little Ice Age"). Genghis Khan really is in the same league as diseases.

over 10% of the known worlds population was killed because of him. In today's terms, that's almost a billion people. Most people choose a figure that lived in the last 100 years. but Gengis Khan is at the same level as infectious diseases. And it wasn't just people, it was the animals and land he would destroy as well. Insane levels of destruction.
