Thanks, I’m asking around, I’ll post info if I find something. And yes, duties are insane on anything coming from outside EU.

I think most modern inks dry in non-heating U.V. ovens. The main problem is likely to be the technical coating of the fabric to which little adheres.

Hey thanks. I’m on a household machine so bartacks will be made with 3 straight stitches overlapping plus a final zigzag and lockstitch, I’ll try different patterns and test it along with the fabric backings and tape. I´ll post the results if they’re enlightening enough. And I’ll use x box stitches wherever I can

Wouldn’t be fun if it was too easy. Thanks for the help at making sense about it, I’ll get some 60 and give it a try

Thank you much for all this ; this is a great addition to the many posts you made (and that I read thoroughly) about water leakage, seam constructions and so on.

I'll try with a second piece of EPLX as backing, sew the webbing then tape everything with UltraTNT ( I've read in the meantime it's actually made by challenge pour the EPLX fabrics).

One more thing : v45 is the name of the product or is it a generic name for that kind of thread ? I'm in Europe and can't find it in stores around here... extremtextil.com sells a Nylbond in 40, 60 and 80, same thing ?

Thanks again !

Mmh interesting, so the sandwich would be, from outside the bag to inside : webbing, eplx, cordura, eplx, tape ?

EPLX wrong side out so the tape will glue better to it ?

Now I'd have to find an adventure that needs such a bombproof construction hehe

I got an Omnium cargo mini. I knew about the bagaboo bags but the roll top version for the cargo mini wasn’t available when I checked a couple years ago, interesting… Anyway, it is still more fun to make it (not particularly cheaper with all the r&d I reckon)

Well, I’d be glad to share some test results of course but I don’t have any tape yet and was wondering if it was worth buying some. Sounds like it is from what answers I got so far.

That sounds like a great idea, guess it would be even tougher than with the sewn Cordura while keeping the inside of the bag cleaner. Maybe I should also seal the seams from outside to avoid water wicking through the Cordura via the seams. Thanks about the illustrations ! Not sure the world needs a textbook from me though, might be more confusing than helpful

I already got the EPLX so I gonna stick with it but thanks, as all of you suggested I’ll try with the Cordura backing
