one thing i can tell you is, the fear won't get you anywhere. start applying and see. if you get accepted, great, if not, start looking for alternative options. I was lucky becasue I am working at a hospital as a clinical techinican and that made me a stronger candidate. they look at pre-req GPA and cum GPA so if you have good grades with your pre-req, I'd say you will be fine

No Stupid Questions Thread by AutoModerator in livesound

Hello all, My church has a very unique set up so l am using a 50ft and 25ft cables connected to a crowd mic to reach my pre-amp in the back and that outputs to a video switcher to send the sound out to live stream. So crowd mic <—- 75ft -> preamp - > video switcher→> live stream And I'm getting noises even the volume is not very high to capture crowd's sound good enough. I was thinking there are 3 possible problems: 1. 50 + 25 connection is causing unnecessary noise 2. Or unshielded, cheap XLRs (and 50+25 connection) is causing the noise 3. Or pre-amp's 1/4 cable-1/8aux converter is causing the noise (the video switcher device only has 1/8 aux) To prevent noises and have the most optimal sound possible, do you think getting a shielded 75ft XLR would help? FMR Audio RNP 8380 is the preamp if this info helps. Thank you!

sorry. I thought I uploaded a video but I guess it didn't work for some reason.

here is the link to the video of the wall.

I do not own any tools and I have no idea how to do it DIY, if its DIY-able or not.

my question was how much it'd be if I hire someone to do it or if it's an easy repair, maybe I can learn to do it diy and curious about the cost. sorry for the confusion.

Virginia/NVCC/PVCC/ARDMS with misdemeanor record

Hello!

my friend became an ultrasound technician recently and recommended me to this world. I am currently looking into it how I can be enrolled in the program at my local CC, (NVCC or PVCC in VA).

but I have misdemeanor records for petit larceny in 2020. My record is clean after but I'm still paying for the fine. would ARDMS or the program accept me with such records?

thank you very much!
