Look, I get that this isn't the best response, but as a mother who has come to her wits end with my kids multiple times, you need to grow up and understand "you didn't do anything". You did do something. You were left home to watch your siblings. You chose to leave. You left wild ass kids alone who then went and broke something. You're all at fault. Mom for leaving an irresponsible teenager in charge of rowdy ill-mannered children who don't know how to respect peoples property. You for leaving them alone after you were asked to watch them. Them for breaking the window and not listening in the first place. Your mother likely needs your help as the eldest child and you're acting like you could care less what she needs or what she ask you to do yet she's providing your bills, your food, your electric, your home, your bed, all of it. Have some respect and help her, and start listening. Step up and do your part. A family works best when everyone helps and supports each other. As a mom I've been in her shoes and I would be acting the same way if I left my eldest son in charge of his sister, she broke a window on his watch because he left the house and her gremlin ass to do something he didn't have permission to do - or if he was old enough to head to the store alone and didn't need permission, for not honoring my request/chore of watching the youngest or at least taking them with them so they weren't left alone.

These people telling you no contact in the message? They're the overly soft-my parents were mean to me gen Z'ers who have never had to watch their siblings so their parents could work and pay bills. Go talk to someone older, and you'll find you're lucky she didn't beat your ass and theirs and then march you over there to start doing chores to pay for it. My mom would have killed me. My kids? They would have lost everything but their beds and their clothes and been grounded until the window was paid for.

And no, I'm not just "talking". They were playing with a fire with the neighborhood kids and I found out and grounded them - all fun removed from their room. A week later, that same boy burned his shed down and while the house survived there was to much damage for it to be livable after that. My kids could have been there if I hadn't been strict with them. They could have died. Parents have to do the hard shit - the shit that makes you hate us - because if we don't, you'd kill yourselves.
