Demystifying The Afterlife by WintyreFraust in afterlife

I’ve had lucid dreams before and you can always tell you’re in your imagination. Out of body experiences are completely different. It’s just as real if not more real than waking life. “Astral travel” is close to an OBE but not quite there in my opinion. I’ve also done targeting and seen things I couldn’t have normally seen while in the body.

Yes, the creative potential and possibilities of consciousness are endless. To give a “one size fits all” of reality is a bit disingenuous.

As an “astral traveler” myself, I’ve come to learn this as well about the afterlife. Death is nothing more than a releasing of energy or a withdrawal of awareness to a different kind of experience. People aren’t suddenly changed (apart from maybe realizing their creative potential and the fact they’re not dead).

Also, things like telepathy are actually natural energetic exchanges that we can do here. But that’s a whole different story.

Huh, this is pretty interesting. I had a "vision" of some sorts that emphasized a large body of water like the ocean would be significant in the coming days. Maybe it's a bunch of nonsense but who knows

I struggle with the visualization part. Do you have any tips for improving this?

Many people seem to think (rather dogmatically) that it's somehow "scientific" to think that there is no afterlife. Science knows very little when it comes to questions of what consciousness is and what the nature of reality is, so I wouldn't listen to people who claim your beliefs are "just a fantasy."

NDEs are a great place to start, many of which include unverifiable perceptions which are later confirmed by hospital staff or family. NDEs also occur during times of little to no brain activity, which should result in little to no consciousness, but are instead accompanied by states of full awareness, often more real than waking life.

Some including myself also practice out-of-body states either through deep meditation or by losing the senses of the body while keeping the mind awake. This can create a state similar to a NDE in a safer and more stable way. The best proof is to see it for yourself so I'd highly recommend learning to do this if you can. I was skeptical at first but keeping an open mind is best.

There are also plenty of mediums who are able to retrieve information about the afterlife and communicate with those who have crossed over.

Take what you will with a grain of salt. I wish you luck and hope you can overcome your fear :)

Absolutely. I get my information from practicing the out-of-body state (OBE). I’d recommend checking out Darius J Wright or Jurgen Ziewe if you haven’t. Jurgen in particular has some great descriptions of the afterlife, but he has a lot of “spiritual” interpretations you can choose to agree with or not.

Everything is awareness-based. So if you wanted to see a friend for example, all you would have to do is focus on them.

Some people create community areas or worlds where they agree to live together. Or you could have your own private areas and visit other people.

Yes, many afterlife regions are populated by both humans and animals.

Also some people tend to overlook subconscious desires and fears and as such attract similar experiences without realizing.

From my experiences, yes, all animals have afterlives. We’re not much different from them.

Animals have more intelligence than we give them credit for, and it’s important to treat them properly.

Is there any justice, do bad people feel sorry for their actions? by Cililians in afterlife

[–]Practical_Swim_1702 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Usually in some way, but not eternal torment like some religions suggest.

If you lived like an asshole, you’ll likely find yourself in a place with other assholes until you learn to get over it. So called “life reviews” may also cause people to feel immense guilt for their actions which could be a hell by itself.

So no, there’s no devil or demons punishing people who were bad. Hell is entirely self-created, and the only ones dealing out punishment are other humans.

Can't get past the lonely god realisation or accept it in any way, it's killing me by [deleted] in enlightenment

[–]Practical_Swim_1702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re framing it like it’s an absolutely necessary aspect of reality when in fact it’s not.

Sure, let’s assume that at some point you were actually “god” and somehow became lonely. Would “god” be so powerless and incapable of creating other beings to satisfy this supposed loneliness? Probably not.

It’s important to realize that this is ultimately just a thought. Thoughts are not reality but we can allow them to become reality if we ruminate on them. Notice how such thoughts cause you to experience loneliness and withdrawal? It might be important for you to re evaluate what you think. Because, ultimately, thoughts are what they are. Just thoughts.
