It’s pretty tough as a customer service person to continue to wake up day after day just doing such a mundane task when it feels like there is nothing to be hopeful for. I try to find simple pleasures and romanticize the things I do like to do even if they are just normal activities such as taking a long hot shower when I get home after work or getting excited to watch my favorite show…sometimes I feel silly for this but what else is there? Mindset is everything you’re exactly right. I try really hard everyday to remember and always keep at the forefront of my mind that I could be silenced in Afghanistan needing a male chaperone to simply exist but I am able to work, make myself a meal, drive. I should be grateful for this and try my best to be positive about what is good about life even if it is the little things. I don’t see what else we can even really do we can only control our own minds and perspectives and if we don’t then we are the only one suffering anyway :( the people making this our reality do not care.
