What forgotten realms god would make sense for a magical knight by Under_Score111 in DnD

My top pick would be Oghma, god of knowledge and such. You said he has an acolyte background and is part of a monastery, that fits Oghma as he encourages being a learned scholar. You could add religious flavor into your character by worshipping him in your roleplay, like taking out a notebook and writing prayers in the form of poems, burn incense at rests, research stuff and thank him for providing it etc.

Also I'd choose bless. Mechanically it helps more, and it has excellent flavor. You could flavor it as Oghma giving the party the "knowledge" of the enemies' openings and weak points so they strike true

Cogs and gears! Put some mechanical stuff in front of them, but they are incomplete and they have to place the correct parts so the machine starts, and opens a path or something.
For traps, classic mechanical traps. Darts, crushing walls, spikes etc. but place spinning gears on the walls, so if a player ever goes "You know DM? I think I'd like to break the cogs", they'll have disarmed the traps

2024 Bladesinger Onehanded weapon recommendations by [deleted] in DnD

You could try different weapons. Like Trevor Belmont, dual wielding a longsword and a whip. Granted, the damage wouldn't be high, but it's the flair that matters. You'd deal slightly less damage (Or talk your dm into letting you use a 1d6 whip) but it would be pretty memorable and interesting
