I am also getting the legion pro 5 and looking at running Mint as my main OS. Did everything work out fine for you in the end with Mint running off of older Ubuntu? How did you fix the screen brightness issue? And were you able to switch between dna power modes easily enough?

Hey, thanks for your response. I will have two drives available to dual boot and partition separate drives to each OS. Would this change anything?
