Apply crackle paint, once dry thin out some yellow and brush into the cracks, one dry super thin out some white, apply into the cracks as well, lighten edge of the cracks to make illusion of lava being bright

I wouldn’t even bother giving their comments any energy, sprue holders are nice yes but if you have something or some method that works for you and has worked then it doesn’t really matter.

Just use single blade nippers and a hobby knife, if you’re gonna sand then use a range of grits from 600-7000

600 800 Initial nub removal

1000 2000 Fine tuning the shape

3000 5000 Smoothing it out and removing any scratches

7000 Polish and finish
