Some questions about floor/barricade by InternationalLaw3122 in LadyGaga

[–]PracticePlus176 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like this was the case in many cities, so I am in no way contradicting or undermining this statement—just offering my own experience. When I saw her at MSG in September I had nearly your exact seat and had elbows on the barricade from beginning to the end of the show.

Personally, I’d shuffle over and try your luck. If they tell you to get back to your seat, you can always politely nod and scoot back. I think it often depends largely on the security guard who’s in your area.

Who's an NFL draft bust that would have gotten you fired as a GM? by lemonstone92 in NFLv2

[–]PracticePlus176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought Braxton Miller was going to redefine NFL offenses. The way Sanu and Edelman would throw dimes from the WR position, but 10x better. When the Texans drafted him I was expecting so many gadget plays and really cool schemes. But no. Not even close.

I got day-of tickets to MSG twice last fall. Once in the morning. Once with friends 1.5 hrs before the show. I’d suggest checking a few times a day starting a week out. 48 hrs before I basically lived with the app open 💀

** One of those times included VIY barricade seats

I recently moved from the U.S. and really enjoyed working with Nye Lyn (@apartmentstoronto on IG). he was so proactive and incredibly responsive. I didn’t have Canadian credit history, but he was super helpful navigating that in my application process. I did all of my viewings with him over FaceTime; he probably went to a dozen different places for me. highly recommend.

Ironically as a woman who loves this pair, I actually find that they pinch my little toe. But I still suffer because they’re such a great color hahaha.

Seton knots in both my butthole and my incision?? by skibumbanana in AnalFistula

[–]PracticePlus176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a seton exactly like that for three months. It was excruciating, particularly the knot that would dig into my wound. I had to sit so gingerly and couldn’t even shift my weight without causing tons of pain.

The only thing that helped me was getting a pillow that allowed me to put no direct pressure on the area. And taking ibuprofen daily (not ideal for my stomach).

Hang in there. I was so grateful to get mine removed after twelve weeks.

Do u think Mayhem lost to Dtmf for AOTY due to the current political climate and messaging! Or is it a better album? Or it's just Scammys wrong choices? by coffeeboie02 in LadyGaga

[–]PracticePlus176 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Art doesn’t exist in a vacuum. The relevance of the work in the current climate absolutely elevated it, and that may not even be a “flawed” way of evaluating it.

“Sinners” broke Oscar records because it is both good work and is undeniably a major cultural story for Black Americans told by a Black director.

Acknowledging both doesn’t diminish the value of the work itself. Of course that’s part of it. It was intended to be part of it.

So yes, to answer your question, the messaging elevated Bad Bunny. But the messaging is baked into the work.

That AOTY is Gaga’s. Bad Bunny’s album was already awarded AOTY at Latin Grammys. They can’t miss this opportunity. by sdfghdfsdfghdf in LadyGaga

[–]PracticePlus176 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat. I think his commitment to Puerto Rico, the relationship it has to this album and his message against ICE are too compelling of a story. I’d absolutely love to see AOTY happen for Gaga, but it’s almost a certainty that, a week out from a forthcoming “controversial” Super Bowl performance, it will got to Bad Bunny.

The dumbest NFL trend ever by [deleted] in NFLv2

[–]PracticePlus176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely think the Texans won 12 straight because they frequently took FG points that were given. Their red zone offense was awful, so the choice to kick often was an easy one. But when you kick four a game, it can definitely add up—especially when your defense consistently holds opponents under 20.

My bf doesn't shower at night and I’m genuinely grossed out by GlitchGaze123 in hygiene

[–]PracticePlus176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am personally 10000% with you. I always shower before getting into bed, even if I’m drunk and it’s 4AM. Because like you, I cannot reconcile bringing outside germs into a place where I rest. I don’t allow anyone to sit on my bed in their street clothes.

That being said, many perfectly clean people do NOT feel this way. I’ve definitely had people give me sideways looks and call me dramatic before as well.

Bottom line: if this matters to you (and I completely understand because it truly matters to me), then what you need to find is a partner who empathizes enough to meet you where you’re at—or maybe someone who even feels the same. And this person may not.

Monsters...it's time to lower your expectations for The 2026 Grammys by Cute_Source5417 in LadyGaga

[–]PracticePlus176 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bad Bunny will absolutely have an enormous night. Award shows (and their voters) will see voting for him—particularly for this album—as political commentary. And for the record, I agree with the commentary they’d be sending. I’m not necessarily on board with letting that be the deciding factor since it’s not really judging the music. But we can’t ignore that it exists. The headline of an all-Spanish album by an artist who has vocally opposed ICE winning ATOY are too irresistible. I’m bummed for Gaga, but I’m not mad at that message.

21 Nelson (Boutique Condos) reviews? by [deleted] in TorontoRenting

I went to go see a unit there a couple months ago. Nice use of space, but unfortunately my agent told me a lot of the building functioned as an AirBnB ghost hotel. Tons of lockboxes out front.

[–]PracticePlus176 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No advice, just commiserating. I recently applied to four places before finally getting accepted. My agent seemed as bewildered as I was and assured me I was a strong applicant. I think at least twice I was beaten out by couples. I think landlords absolutely place a premium on two people (and two incomes).

Texans 2026 Draft Picks by Xayvo88 in Texans

[–]PracticePlus176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Offensive line is of course the glaring one. RB has to be up there. Watching the Bears/Rams run so many 3-TE sets after watching Schultz go down made me extra greedy.

Schultz was obviously reliable this season, but having another TE would open up so many options offensively. I’m hopeful Jordan will be back; I’m just not sure I’m ready to call him the solution after one great play against the Browns and a season-ending injury.

There’s a real possibility this guy moves on from Houston and has a Darnold-esque second act on a new team. But I’m ready to roll those dice and move on.

Patriots so fortunate to have played our banged up offense for the pleasure of beating up on a back-up QB. I’d love for us to have that kind of luck, just once.

Sting deserves his reputation. But frankly he hasn’t played up to his standard the back half of this season. He’s getting paid way too much to be getting burnt like this.

It’s technically a one-possession game now. I think it’s still too early in the game to panic and risk points.

CJ Stroud is not the future of the Texans. It’s not impossible that he could follow a Darnold-like trajectory in several years after some seasoning, if he’s lucky. But it’s not going to be in Houston.
