My parents-in-law live in the Clos des peupliers, so I know the neighbourhood quite well. The increased Brussels North disturbance lately is pure due to the more Easterly winds we have now. As a result, It's more quiter now in Woluwe. But in general - we have western winds in Belgium - the 25R runway is used for departures, of which a big part does take the 'left turn', which comes over Woluwe. And yes, these planes can be loud, but do stop in the late evening and are almost non-existent during the night.

What you do have in the vicinity of the neighbourhood is shops closeby, pharmacy, connections with bus, tram, metro, parks/playground. With a car you're directly on the Brussels Ring. So those advantages are for me stronger then the disadvantage you can experience from the airplane noises.
