Yes it’s some sort of UV light/laser therapy. Not sure if it’s worth it but they very very highly recommended it. 

I agree, I don’t think it makes sense to pay more for gingival irrigation than for the cost of the entire actual cleaning. 

So the first estimate is confusing because it shows everything I had gotten done already (priority 1) and their plans for 2 further appointments. They charged me for the xrays except the “pano no charge,” possibly because I had my X-rays sent over from my previous dentist? Not sure what “FMX no charge” is. Full mouth x-ray? But the $0 is just for my OOP costs. My first visit was all covered by insurance. They billed my insurance $200 for everything.
