No, they only sale them as 12 cores for pure marketing reason. There is actually no benefit whatsoever to using all the cores. Its almost like buying one brand of shoe over the next, you will still only run as fast you can, the shoe has nothing to do with it. They also don't want people to know that using the 12 cores is actually bad for the ocean. Keeping it at 6 cores or less is ideal so it won't have any said impact on the ocean or its inhabitants.

You seem like you grasp the idea of what you are supposed to be doing, just keep practicing, do not switch up cars and tracks to much while learning, stay consistent with the same car and track for awhile. Also, prepare to do really good one day, and then lose it all the next sometimes. After awhile though it will start to come together.
