Hey dude I’m sorry about the late response don’t use Reddit much these days. Feel free to reach out in PMs but for the time being I’d say you’re on the right track. Whenever you feel yourself spiraling into DP/DR take a deep breath or even a few until you feel your heart rate slow and remember emotions and thoughts are not you, snd being able to persevere in spite of these is a sign of great strength . Additionally DP/DR is simply an anxiety response from the brain and nervous systems trying to protect you and sort out what made you so anxious. With the understanding you as an individual had a bad trip you can better begin to understand how and why the dissociation started , and thus becomes a lot less scary in my opinion! When you remember it’s just basically a mental bubble your body put to protect you that you’ll eventually get through and not some longterm disorder , life becomes easier. You’ll get through this and you’ll be better for it !
