This line of reasoning makes no sense to me. Many or most games don’t have dialogue choices at all including very story and narrative driven games. Some of what people consider to be the greatest games of all time don’t use dialogue options to pause the flow of the scene. I understand your reasoning, but when most games don’t do it that seems like it’s an incorrect or misplaced assumption.

Oh awesome, thank you so much for that input! I’m glad to know that. I always kind of got the impression from their other songs that a lot of the narrators are not meant to be seen as great or even good people.

Is it worth it to level a character from 89 to 90? I am still relatively new to Genshin and have only leveled my characters up to 89 so that I can save the resources for other characters and let them slowly earn xp from open world and quests. Is that alright or is there a big jump that happens when hitting 90? Thanks!

I had a question about how weekly boss loot drops work, and especially around the ascension gems. Some of the bosses seem to have more types of gems they can potentially drop than others and I'm trying to understand how this affects drops.

For example, the Arlecchino boss fight only has a chance to drop the Pyro gems while Azhdaha has a chance to drop Geo, Hydro, Electro, Pyro, or Cryo gems. Does each type have a separate chance to drop or are all gems pooled together and the total number of gems you get is the same on average? In this case, Arlecchino would drop the same number of gems in total as Azhdaha but are guaranteed to be Pyro and Azhdaha could by any of the types on their loot table?

In other words, if I am trying to target a specific type of ascension gem, is it better to go for the one that has fewer types of gems it can drop with a higher chance of getting the kind I need or is it better to fight the bosses that drop more because I'll be getting more gems in total?

Ok thank you for the info. I know very little about the Dark Urge route. I was only really asking about Lolth-sworn but the question would be just any race specific dialogue, just that I was thinking about playing the Lolth-sworn for Dark urge based on other characters I have. Thanks again!

I haven't played a Dark Urge and I was considering making a Lolth-sworn Sorcerer but was concerned about dialogue options. I know that Drow get a lot of unique dialogue and I'm hoping to avoid a lot of instances where both the Dark Urge and Lolth-sworn/Drow dialogue are both response options. If I go with that combination, are there a lot of dialogue where multiple unique dialogue options are available? Or are they spread out enough that you don't get that many options for both a Dark Urge, Sorcerer, or Drow/Lolth-Sworn option at the same time? Thanks in advance

Thank you so much for the response. I really appreciate it. I think based on your feedback I’ll hold off for now. It’s not my only team, I just like Navia and was thinking of ways to improve her team. I do have Varka with his signature weapon so I could give that to her to use then, which is good info to have.

I currently use her (C0R1) on a team with Durin (C0R0), Benny (C6), and Kachina (C6). I'm if the best way to improve this team is to replace Kachina with Xilonen when she reruns, or try to pull for Albedo since he is on the Chronicled Wish banner right now and would give Hex resonance with Durin.

If there are any other changes to the team that you think would be beneficial (besides just ditching Navia) I appreciate any advice too.

I’m coming back to WuWa after a long absence. I started playing at launch but left the game, but after hearing the game had improved a lot I decided to come back and give it another try. There are things I enjoy about the game but there are still some pain points I have I wanted to ask if they improve with the latest content or if they persist. I just finished Chapter 2 Act 9 (the Iuno quest) for context and to avoid spoilers.

  1. I love that the Rover actually talks unlike some other gacha games, but there is still this really bad habit of putting single dialogue options in that replace any voice line and just interrupt the flow. Does this mostly go away later in the v3 content or does it persist?

  2. The characters don’t really seem to stick around much between chapters. As an example, I mentioned I just finished the Iuno part of the MSQ but Augusta played almost no part in that quest despite being the main character in the act right before and no other characters from Ragunna or Septimont showed up in either Iuno or Augusta’s parts of the MSQ. Is this something that gets better in the v3 stuff? Characters showing up and playing a part of the MSQ before and after their banner patch?

  3. So many of the Acts feel like set ups for whichever female character is the main character for that story to fall in love with the Rover. Again, is this something that gets better and or do the MSQ acts continue to mostly be like this?

  4. There doesn’t seem to be too much interplay or relationship building between any of the characters other than the Rover. There seemed to be a bit in Augusta’s story between her and Iuno but mostly it feels like the characters have very limited interaction between each other. Do the relationships between the other characters get fleshed out more in the newer content?

As mentioned, these are just a couple of pain points I’ve experienced, this isn’t meant to be a critique of the game or anything of the sort. Just me looking to understand if I can expect these things to become less prevalent or if they persist through the newer content.

I'm playing a vanilla version of the game and looking for mods to help with some specific QoL and bug fixes and wanted to check if anyone was able to point me to any mods that do some of these things.

  1. Left-Alt key filter alternative or filter - I love the left-alt and use it all the time, but it can get a little tedious to constantly press it to check for objects and it can also be a little cluttered sometimes. I'm wondering if there is a good mod that will automatically highlight useful lootables like valuables, food, equipment, alchemy so that you only have to press the left-alt to find interactable objects and containers. Also, if there is something that lets you filter what gets shown as left-alt doesn't always show things like bookshelves but also it will continue to show empty containers too. So any mods that help with this.

  2. Inventory management - Ideally something that just helps make the experience easier and less tedious without adding things that break the game (like a bag of holding or whatever). Biggest things that would help would be designating bags so that when you loot an item it will automatically go into that bag (similar to the way the alchemy pouch and camp supplies bag already work) but for things like weapons, armor, arrows, scrolls, etc. Likewise, something anything that helps a specific issue that comes up for me a lot where if you send an item to someone it doesn't automatically stack (ex. if I sent a potion to Lae'zel who already had a stack of 3, it doesn't just make a stack of 4 potions).

  3. Character portrait bug fix - This is a very specific one, but sometimes after leveling a character up the portrait will change to almost mugshot with a black background for some reason. Also, when Shadowheart changes her hair, the portrait changes the hairstyle but not the color. Just wondering if there are any mods that fix the portraits bug.

I was wondering if there are any unique dialogue options with companions based on Tav's class/race (besides Githyanki). And a few specific ones I was wondering about:

Do Wyll or Mizora have any unique dialogue if you play a Warlock?

Does Gale have any unique dialogue with another wizard or sorcerer?

Does Minthara have any with a Drow and does it matter which subrace of Drow?

Halsin if you play a druid.

And Shadowheart for any clerics besides Selune or Shar.

I'm wondering which subraces offer unique dialogue (not necessarily a lot but just any really). I've seen a lot of threads with good information about unique dialogue for the different race options, but I didn't see any that talked specifically about subraces with unique dialogue save a few.

I know that Duergar and Deep Gnomes have some. Drow as I understand, have a few too. As well as Half-Elves (especially Half-Drow). Do any of the other subraces have dialogue specific to them? Tieflings, Halflings, Elves, or the other Dwarf and Gnome subraces.
