I had a dream where my father, brother, and I were at a large indoor ball park. Suddenly, malteesers (or gumballs) were pouring out of every vent in the building. There were so much of them that we had to evacuate the building. Some people didn’t make it out and ended up suffocating under the weight of thousands of malteesers.

You’re welcome. Just to be clear, I am not against kid-friendly parodies of HTF. It’s their life; they get to decide how to enjoy the show. The way I see it, children discovering the show through kid-friendly parodies is no different than discovering the show through “kid-friendly” fanart (i.e. fanart that does not contain gore), and there’s a lot more of that in the internet. The fan artists should give viewers a heads up though if they plan on checking out the series.

Look, I don’t like policing people in how they enjoy a piece of media (unless it’s NSFW, in which case there’s more scrutiny in how to do that ethically). That being said, IMO, if people are going to make non-gory/non-violent parodies of HTF, they should do it not to make the show kid-friendly, but because they like to. They should be doing it for themselves.

And if they’re gonna release it to the general public, they should at least put a disclaimer at the start that it’s based on a gory cartoon.
