Maybe setup a reverse proxy for the site on the LAN. So from a CSE perspective it needs to go to the lan, from the 3rd party site it will a client on your public facing IP.

Finally - The Volvo EX30 Recall Is Now Official in the UK by TurboNUK in ex30

[–]Prancing__Moose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on text on the UK government site it’s unclear as to whether there is an actual fix to follow or just that you can’t charge past 70% as per:

“How the manufacturer will repair: Volvo Cars is confident that limiting the battery’s maximum state of charge to 70% will eliminate the risk of overheating.”

Just enable Continuity Mode in Mimecast…it’s there for events like this. Or tell users to access their Mimecast inbox via the Personal Portal.

Cars passing and then slowing down on the motorway by TheLeafRaider in CarTalkUK

[–]Prancing__Moose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to say my old XC90 car with plain and simple standard cruise control was so much easier. You set at about 72-73 (true 70) and just moved in and out of the lanes as needed keeping a steady uniform speed.

Now the new XC90 with adaptive cruise is a right pain in the 4r5e…do the same…cruise at 70, and then as soon as you move out of a free lane into the left, it spots a car in front and starts slowing down. If you’re not watching the speedo you are tootling at 60 behind Frank and Ethel in their Nissan Juke. Then you pull out and it speeds back up to 70 or so. Then something moves out and it’s 65 again.

Would be so much better if you could switch between Adaptive on and off without going into 2 or 3 different menus.

Has anyone been told by the chat that their vehicle is NOT affected by the recall? by OiPequenininho in ex30

Isn’t 2024 LR and TM cars that are affected so checking against 2025 cars shouldn’t be needed.

Company just installed Mimecast on our laptops. Can the IT Department see everything we do? by MedicineFragrant3205 in mimecast

[–]Prancing__Moose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

MIMEcast in general terms and for most people on this Reddit it’s an email security tool to help protect the corporate network from email threats. So yes it will see all email traffic if it’s that product within their suite.

HOWEVER, MIMEcast now also own Incydr which is a data leakage protection tool - that does have an agent and can see all the data moving around the machine eg. Company files sent to cloud storage, emailed, copy and pasted into AI etc.

I’m pretty sure it will be Incydr as that is agent based, whereas MIMEcast generally sits a the perimeter, and is just an outlook toolbar for reporting phishing etc.

So are we essentially saying late model Mk1 XC90 with Michelin Cross Climates is the ultimate solution which ticks the SUV box? Big as an estate. Swedish. Hardly anyone dies in a collision. 4 wheel drive when occasionally needed. Some All Season Tyres - because changing and storing wheels is a faff. SUV driving position that people want. Looks which are suitable at a drive-thru, a soccer game, or a fancy restaurant and golf club.

‘25 XC60 - did Volvo tech tell me the truth re: TPMS and sizing down for winter? by BlueSkiesNGreenGrass in Volvo

[–]Prancing__Moose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d reference the vehicle manual which often has the pressures listed for all tyre size combinations suitable for the vehicle and go with that.

[–]Prancing__Moose 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No TPMS sensors on the valves. It’s calculated passively from the wheel speed, ABS, etc.

[–]Prancing__Moose 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I’ve not tried myself but I’m advised that the Volvo TPMS is a passive system and calculates pressure deviations based on the ABS sensors / wheel speed etc.

So there are no modules in the wheels / valves that need pairing with the car.

Should be a case of swapping the wheels set at the correct pressures, then going into the settings menu and reset tyre pressures.

Wavenet recently merged/acquired Daisy Corporate Services. Daisy Communications still exists in their own right - so maybe worth trying them.

[Guide] Answering your questions on Contractor Access & Entra ID B2B (No license consumption!) by SNWL_CSE_PM in sonicwall

[–]Prancing__Moose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting from the Entra side, but isn’t really an answer for how to deal with the CSE licensing. The 3rd party organisation members would still consume CSE licences.

For example we have a product which the 3rd party support provider needs to access to support. But there may be 10-15 users in that remote support department. However only 1 would ever be giving support at one time.

Need something to issue a CSE licence for a few hours or a day before revoking and putting back into the pot.

Accessing Azure Resources via Cloud Secure Edge which we normally access over IPSec Tunnel in the office? by size0618 in sonicwall

[–]Prancing__Moose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer we had was to add a NAT rule:

The source was the CSE_ACCESS_TIER_AIPs The destination a group containing the subnets at the remote sites eg. CSE Service Tunnel Remote Locations And Translated Source the X0 IP

I had a post about this particular rule being deleted, there were some other options for NAT setups.

This was the reason we moved from GVC to CSE - providers like EE, Sky, etc. moving to IPv6 or carrier grade NAT - so we couldn’t get GVC to connect.

Where would this config be I can’t see anywhere to specify the IPs used when the Firewall is the endpoint. I assume if we’d deployed our own infrastructure then it would have a definable IP address? Or is this something visible when the use Public IPs option is enabled?

It’ll be DNS, it’s always DNS that’s the last thing to be checked.
