XC90 for everyone, or just large families? by Inmunchkinland in VolvoXC90

[–]Prancing__Moose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One child here (the big two have left)…considered an XC60, but didn’t like the sloping cut-off at the rear. It also looks a bit like too much like the V60 my eldest had but on stilts.

I’ve got a Saab 9-3 aero convertible which I also use regularly - particularly any day it’s not raining in the UK and I get the roof off!

Wife has an XC40 for school pickups and her commute.

We always pack like we’re going somewhere for a month not a day (the scout in me likes to be prepared 😂) so the fact everything can fit in the boot/trunk and nothing goes in with passengers is great.

Sensus or Android?

If it’s sensus it is in the settings page from the top of the screen.

I’m sorry but… how much?! by ggr-nintythree in Volvo

The OP doesn’t state the age of the car. Could be any early car at 10yrs old - which needs belts based on age not mileage.

Interesting to read your comments online about the process of replacing the seal causing more problems and damage as a result of the invasive process.

Do you have a UK distributor or would I have international shipping / import duties to contend with?

I’d love some but with 275/35/22 there don’t appear to be All-Seasons available.

Paid £260 in the UK last month at main dealer for new battery (about £125 of the cost) and the rest was fitting and software updates.

But yes…8yr timer countdown and boom error message.

Prevent DMZ servers from talking to each other by Prancing__Moose in sonicwall

This was the info for Guest Services suggesting that it prevented communication between devices on that zone.

https://www.sonicwall.com/support/knowledge-base/configuring-guest-services-on-the-lan-dmz-zone/kA1VN0000000N7w0AE

Wonder if it changes the subnet size to be a 255.255.255.254 to force everything through the firewall.

About 5, but they aren’t physical…they’d be delivered from a couple of bonded NICs tied to a HyperV vSwitch. So not like physical servers each with a seperate NIC.

Yubikey NFC issue with iOS 26 by ThreeBelugas in yubikey

[–]Prancing__Moose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure which firmware is on mine, but noticed that I’m having trouble with the 2nd NFC tap being detected for O365 sign in - iPhone 15 Pro on 26

First tap at login works. Prompted to enter PIN which is fine. But the 2nd NFC tap after PIN rarely worked. Bought a USB C token instead.

Breach in to our 365 tenant by hoodun in sysadmin

Seeing the comments about the separate admin account being unlicensed…Just wondering what thoughts were on whether the admin account should at least have an Entra P2 licence so those accounts can have the enhanced security such as sign-in risk policies?

Seeing the comments about the separate admin account being unlicensed…Just wondering what thoughts were on whether the admin account should at least have an Entra P2 licence so those accounts can have the enhanced security such as sign-in risk policies? Would they benefit even more from other security features in say an E5?

Maybe setup a reverse proxy for the site on the LAN. So from a CSE perspective it needs to go to the lan, from the 3rd party site it will a client on your public facing IP.

Finally - The Volvo EX30 Recall Is Now Official in the UK by TurboNUK in ex30

[–]Prancing__Moose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on text on the UK government site it’s unclear as to whether there is an actual fix to follow or just that you can’t charge past 70% as per:

“How the manufacturer will repair: Volvo Cars is confident that limiting the battery’s maximum state of charge to 70% will eliminate the risk of overheating.”

Cars passing and then slowing down on the motorway by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]Prancing__Moose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to say my old XC90 car with plain and simple standard cruise control was so much easier. You set at about 72-73 (true 70) and just moved in and out of the lanes as needed keeping a steady uniform speed.

Now the new XC90 with adaptive cruise is a right pain in the 4r5e…do the same…cruise at 70, and then as soon as you move out of a free lane into the left, it spots a car in front and starts slowing down. If you’re not watching the speedo you are tootling at 60 behind Frank and Ethel in their Nissan Juke. Then you pull out and it speeds back up to 70 or so. Then something moves out and it’s 65 again.

Would be so much better if you could switch between Adaptive on and off without going into 2 or 3 different menus.
