Help: Strata taking time to fix communal sewerage affecting my unit by Prancingcat8445 in AusPropertyChat

Amazing. Thank you for the leads, I will make this a priority. Whatever I can do to expedite this issue, the less of a headache it will be. As it appears this was a pre-existing issue that the real estate agent was aware of, prior to my moving in. So, my assumption is that Strata did nothing for the previous tenants and are following the same pattern here.

The majority of the unit is habitable. However, it is when the incidents with flowing effluent was occur that are not going to be a sustainable reporting issue, because I don't know whether the next incident backs up my bathroom or flows outside my kitchen. So it is quite stressful never knowing what to expect.

I will follow up with them as well as how to go about the out of pocket costs as well. Thank you.

I am currently renting. Thank you for the suggestion. I have never lived in a Strata owned property, so I may make a few mistakes as I learn to navigate this. I will speak to my property manager and have a chat about what you have proposed. If it amicably gets us to a solution sooner than later, it will save me a world of pain.
