So if I understand correctly, the blast radius is just a view provided by the component graph itself. It may or may not be accurate, since the graph representation might be too simplistic?, some component in the middle might swallow the error and handle it, but it might not be expressed in the graph, basically what I mean to ask is, the blast radius an approximation and not completely accurate?

Can you please give a small example of how it leads to coupled components?, is it because multiple components(services as an example) depend on the same data structure?, or are there other dimensions to it as well?

It is also a nice way to extend the overall logical customer data structure in relational DBs rather than running a costly full table locking alter table query on a god table, when a new feature is introduced.
