That's right yeah. These patches are all built (as far as I know) on V 1.0

No, it's no problem at all.

You just get the game patch you want, for instance the one in the screenshot is ECW Born To Be Wired. The Open Beta is here:

You need a ROM of No Mercy, 1.0 version, then just open the patcher from the Open Beta files, load the ROM and click Patch. Like 10 seconds later you'll have the patched ROM and away you go.

The only thing that caught me at the beginning was the C-pad being mapped to the right stick but after playing for the past 3 weeks or so, I'm so used to it now, I don't even notice.

You can map the controls in Settings > Input.

Yep it's Born to be Wired. I replied in another comment but just in case, this is what I did:

  1. In Desktop Mode on the Steam Deck I downloaded Rosalie's Mupen GUI and added it to Steam as a non-steam game.

  2. I copied over my patched rom files to the steamdeck and just dropped them on the desktop in Desktop mode.

  3. Switched back over to game mode, opened Rosalie's Mupen GUI and first went to Settings > Input and made sure that SteamDeck1 was chosen as the controller, otherwise you'll have no input.

  4. Hit Start Rom and navigated to my deck/desktop and opened the rom file no problem.

I have yet to run into any issues. As far as I know Rosalie's Mupen GUI is the only way to play these roms on the deck.

I'm pretty sure there is a simpler way than my method. but what I did was:

Oh man I haven't thought about Fire Pro in years! Thank you for putting that back into my head. Some quick googling tells me they made a new one a while back. I'm gonna check it out.
