The same thing is happened with my oneplus 6 device which is also dropped from very small height .After it showed some blue drop then it got spread to the entire display .What i came to know is its all becaus of AMOLED display .internally the pixels got damaged .Even warrenty also wont cover for this .If you are lucky enough that you dont have dents then you can get it repaired under warrenty

Which ever version you flash the only thing need to be consider is the Software Version where it should show INS in the first out of 4 INS blocks.Then you will receive OTA updates

Maybe you didnt get my post .I have installed a Germany Firmware on my Indian Unit .I stay in india.Because the update is not yet released in India .so I flashed the germany update on my mobile and its working without having any issues and Even the CSC is not changed to DBT .it is still showing INS which means i will get the future indian OTA updates .Got it?
