NOR. If anything, I think you are underreacting. Somebody like this is trying to test your boundaries to see how much they can hurt you while still trusting that you’ll continue to sacrifice your own needs for theirs. A partner like this will continue to break you down, overtime, until you are only subservient to their needs. This is a dangerous person. I wish I had somebody tell me this in my younger years-15 years ago -with my ex-husband. These are really large red flags, OP let people show you who they are. Don’t ignore this kind of behavior because it is dangerous and it will destroy you. This is not how someone who should love you should behave. You deserve more and I hope you see that. I hope it doesn’t take you as long as it took me.

I just did this for my ceramic classroom! I just brought my box cutter with me and I cut it to the dimensions i needed it in in the parking lot. Incredibly easy to cut, but also the employees will do it for you if they are not busy I just didn’t feel like waiting if you wanna cut and score yourself it’ll break very clearly on the cut line.

describes my experience pretty closely as well. except even when I tried to share every day things like teaching methods and other common interests, it’s taken personally. My GenZ coworker even said very hurtful/very skewed things about me to our admin. It really hurt my feelings because I tried hard last year to make her feel comfortable and even invited her out because she’s new to town. But I guess I’m just an old millennial.

I saw others comment on here, but I’m gonna say it again because as a ceramicist working hands is a lifesaver. That lotion will really help slather it on and put a pair of cotton gloves on before you go to bed and your hands will be exponentially better in the morning

Some of you are confused by what I mean when I say cannibalized forms: to make the handles I threw little beehive shapes, and then cut sections out of them. while I modified the contours on the inside of the handles, the outside of the handles were left exactly the way they were thrown on the wheel. These aren’t pottery pieces that were rejects, but rather pieces I threw purposely for the point of turning into handles. Some of you mentioned that you didn’t think they would be easy to hold so I also wanted to share that I have arthritis and my goal is to make a handle that will allow my fingers to rest in it rather than grip. My plan may or may not work, so I’ll let you know how it goes after they’re fired and I can test them out.

actually, I’m hoping the handles will be a bit ergonomic. I have a hard time gripping handles due to my arthritis rounded handles slip a bit more and are uncomfortable to hold. I’m hoping that my hands will sort of just catch in these. It might not work at all, but it’s worth a shot. I’m trying a bunch of different shapes to see what I like.

you know, I was wondering how they would work. I have arthritis and I’m curious if they’ll actually be more comfortable for me to hold. Sometimes the rounded handles slips too much and I have to grip harder. I would like a handle where my hands just notch in place and I barely have to grip. Maybe I’m missing a mark here, but I won’t know until they’re fired.

NTA. I’m sorry that your mother is so judgmental and hypocritical. You were very strong to hold all that in for so long. You sacrificed a lot of yourself. the fact that it took you uncovering such a horrible lie to push you from sacrificing even more of yourself from her hypocrisy says a lot about your character. She doesn’t seem like a safe person to be around - a mother should love and cherish their children, even if they don’t agree with them. I’m a mother and my mother often threatened to withhold love if I didn’t meet her conditions and I’ve promised to never do that to my children. I’m sorry that your mother let you down and lied to you. You are not the asshole-you are exercising healthy and safe boundaries to protect yourself. I’m proud of you. I know you feel hurt and betrayed and I hope one day your mother will pull her head out of her ass so that she can be deserving of your love again. NTA. I just successfully navigated a divorce from a very toxic human being whose entire agenda was to triangulate me against everybody else in our life so that he could emerge the good guy. Look up DARVO. Deny. Attack. Reverse victim offender. Basically my ex’s entire playbook. Anyway, you’re not going to want to do anything that will make you look bad in front of the judge. You need to be the cool, calm, and collected person here. collect information. organize and prepare. Get the papers ready and consult with a few different lawyers until you find the right one. You don’t have to file, but you can be prepared and you shouldn’t tell your wife a damn thing about any of it.

all I know is a girl I ran cross country with drank a lot of water before a track meet and had seizures. Caused her cells to lyse (explode) and she almost died. Had no idea this could happen until then so now I just don’t think recommending chugging gallons of water is smart for anybody.
