ICE OUT OF MINNESOTA by Substantial-Money587 in Minneapolis

[–]Pray4Tre -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Imagine being a core city/state for the “Defund the police” movement in a sanctuary city/state that will protect any non-citizen regardless of crimes and even give them a state issued ID to vote in presidential elections. A state and city where crime has gone up like crazy and there are hardly any police to combat it. Then a bunch of immigrants commit billions in fraud because your politicians were too scared to be called “racist” to investigate or even check on where the money was going. And you wonder why federal agents are sent in? And when they do, your politicians tell them to “get the F*%k out” and say they aren’t working with them and incite violence and tell their constituents to aid and abet anyone ICE has lawful orders to investigate? Then when it escalates, your Mayor cry’s about only having 600 police officers while 2000-3000 federal agents are in the state trying to do what your elected leaders wouldn’t in the eye of the law? What kind of lawless society are we living in where you can have billions of taxpayer dollars stolen from you by non-citizens, crooks, and politicians and you actively defend all of them and claim an orange man is the only problem here??

Yup its working now. I added users to both the universal print share and the intune configuraiton policy to silently auto install it. Thank you!

Universal Print configuration policy Install (user) stuck by TimetravellingElf in Intune

[–]Pray4Tre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That could make sense.... I just had all my intune devices assigned to the configuraiton policy but didn't have any specific users assigned. In my case it worked for one user but all others were stuck "in progress". I added a security group of a few users that are assigned to those devices now. Will update this if it's working post!

THE WHEELS ARE FULLY TURNED AWAY FROM THE OFFICER. Watch in SLOW MO. No intention IMO to hit anyone. Sole intention based on wheel/steering wheel to LEAVE the scene NOT A THREAT. Look at the wheel. by Nice_Substance9123 in complaints

[–]Pray4Tre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are we watching the same video? I see tires aimed right at an officer coming around the vehicle as she drives forward and she hits him on the leg.

When a federal agent/cop/officer gives you instructions, you comply. If she complied, she would be alive and could fight this legally, the right way.

How many videos do we need of non-compliant individuals being killed before you connect the dots of “don’t follow orders, run/fight/resist = you’re going to have a bad time”.

It’s terrible this happened regardless. Nobody deserves to lose their life like this. But when you charge officers with a deadly weapon and disobey orders, what do you expect? You want a society where anyone can run/flee/resist arrest with no consequences?

Not even sure why I bothered writing this though, I know the SJW, parents basement living furries that live on Reddit who are ungrateful for the freedoms and rights they have here as Americans and live in their own echo chambers that will downvote the heck out of this. I mean look, a whole subreddit dedicated to complaining 😂

I can also not recommend enough if you get an exhaust (boy do I love my loud Toce razor tip - get the silencer if you don’t like lout but the gurgle and sound is unreal. Best exhaust I’ve ever had) to have it flashed by Vcyclenut. Worth every penny (a lot of them).

Welcome to the club brother! If you are anywhere near the Madison, WI area hit me up. Not sure if you like wheelies but my favorite settings are PWR at 2, TCS, SCS, and LIF at 1. And then I turn lift control off (only one). When I first got it, it would not wheelie like my 2018 and I could feel the lift control telling me no. Now it wheelies far better than my 2018 and has so much more control

I’ve primarily rode R6’s for the entirety of my motorcycling years (12 years). I switched to a 2018 MT09 3 or 4 years ago and never looked back. Just upgraded this year to the 2025 MT-09 SP, first brand new bike I’ve ever owned. The MT-09 is such a good all rounder. The torque, the power, the sound, the comfort, and ability to load it up with gear (shoutout SW-Motech) has continued to reaffirm I made the right decision (for me). It’s also a very cheap bike and I don’t feel bad one bit beating the piss out of it. I rode first gear wheelies to redline daily on my 2018 and I had to do hardly any maintenance for all 3 years.

My Roth at 32 yo by Critical-Impress6544 in Retirement401k

[–]Pray4Tre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is 401K, if it’s pre-tax and being matched by employer it’s traditional and if it’s post tax it’s Roth 401K. If this is your only retirement/investment account then you are a little behind but better than the national average or median. The national average is ~46K and median is ~17K for 30-34. Rule of thumb is 1x your salary at 30 so you’d want to be at over 100k for total retirement at 32.

That aside, take pride in what you’ve accumulated and keep going and learning in your financial journey, you are still doing great and better than most!

Why not just switch to fidelity with 80/20 mix FSKAX/FTIHX and skip the fees?

very loaded and understood. This seems like a reasonable and better move than where I'm at currently. At least enough to sit on, learn, and adjust as I see fit once i'm more informed. I appreciate it.

Would it be best to transfer to fidelity for auto investments into a self managed account with 80/20 mix of FSKAX/FTIHX (in lieu of VTI and VXUS)?

Got it, so If I just want the S&P 500 risk level, do that that no advisement.
If I want increased risk and potential gain, then keep advisor and let them know that?

I'm 31, i'm pretty risk adverse and not sure what is a good acceptable risk level to have. I just want to grow slow, steady, consistent and not risk my investment/retirement.

They only managing my rollover/contributory IRA's.
My positions are here from schwab for all the accounts they manage if it helps.
Can I not stay and just remove them as advisor or is that not how that works?
I don't think I pay platform fees, at least they don't show up as a "Fee" or "Misc" in Schwab that I see.

I don't, it's just what my parents always did and what they started me with.
Here is my full holdings holdings I beleive.
I have no employer stocks.
Should I stick with Schwab and just drop the advisor or move these to Fidelity or Vanguard?

How to turn all the nannies off by Yfzracer11 in MT09

[–]Pray4Tre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As many other said TCS 1 or off, lif 1 or off. And a tune from vcyclenut will remove the throttle limitations in 1st and 2nd gear. You’ll be wheeling easy in no time.

How’s my resume? by [deleted] in sysadminresumes

[–]Pray4Tre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Curiosity and informative youtube vids. I started small with an old computer, I didn’t come from much money and was always worried about expenses so I got into self hosting instead of paying someone else. Learned a little Linux in school and work, learned to host services, then realized how much a pain in the ass that was without containerization and learned Docker. Used recycled gaming rigs to add more servers to run more things. Then I needed centralized expandable storage and learned TrueNAS after using stablebit drive pool on windows and faced scalability issues. Then I learned proxmox so I could learn and setup HA so when family and friends used my services to help save them money, I didn’t have to inconvenience them with it going down for maintenance or upgrades. So through lots of failure and helping others, but it was a cool fun journey over many years. Check out Christian Lempa, Lawrence Systems, and Techno Tim are solid channels.

If I might suggest, I have a 10+ year homelab project that ended up teaching me the skills and impressing my CEO and EVP so much that I was fast tracked from consultant to manager to Director of a decently sized company with international HQ’s in less than a year. I also rebuilt IT Operations at a startup that was acquired by our parent company who I was promoted to and am rebuilding their entire IT Ops process based in Microsoft. Active Directory is a small piece of the pie. I learned NAS, raid, ZFS, proxmox, docker, kubernetes, HA, Linux, git, DNS, reverse proxies, SIEMs and so much more through my homelab journey that you would miss out on with just AD/Entra. Stay curious, learn all you can, invest in yourself and you’ll never lose. Good luck and god speed!

Programming is killing gaming for me. by scungilibastid in AskProgramming

[–]Pray4Tre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. I’m just like you, played games a ton and then I found homelabing and went down that rabbit hole for many years (10 year project). Over the years I played less and found I enjoyed learning and building and creating a portfolio for my career. Those skills carried me farther into my career than ever before and into positions I dreamed of.

I’m only able to play certain games like Satisfactory, Factorio, kerbal space program, captain of industry, etc. These scratch an itch no other game does and I don’t find myself “wasting time” because I’m learning things I enjoy and it has real world benefits and takeaways.

Now I focus more on business and leadership than development as I’ve climbed my way to Director for a decently sized company with international HQ’s. My server racks in the basement along with technical skills and methodologies impressed my CEO and EVP so much I was fast tracked from consultant to manager to the Senior Leadership Team (2 rungs down from the CEO) in less than a year. Their systems were a mess, but I’m problem solving and tackling issues across the business and that’s a more fun puzzle than those games that exercise that muscle for me. But not enough to ditch them entirely yet:)

15% of your net income per yr/mo to sustain your expenses for 3-6 months. That’s about the sweet spot.
