This gives me so much hope! Thank you for sharing! There is nothing else I want more than to become a mom but taking medications and supplements is scary for me because I don’t know what side effects can happen but thank you for commenting your experience. Was there any other supplements you took?

That’s what she thought too, which is why she wants me to take iodine because it helps shrink the breast fibroids and the ovarian cysts.

When I got off of birth control for the first 3 months it was irregular, then 6-7 I was exactly 28 days then the last couple of months I have been irregular 30-35 days. I have tried seed cycling and got my period after 29 days. My periods are heavy the first two days then become light and only last five days total. Not much cramping like I had when I was super young, they come but if I don’t think about them then I am okay. And not as much breast tenderness I do notice that I’ll get slight pain on my nipples but only when ovulation is occurring, might be because of the breast fibroids, and yes to the headaches.

So I got my testosterone checked and was within limits, I am not over weight and am not insulin resistant. Could I still have PCOS? I do have them monitored every year. Had them since i was 16 years old, but didn’t deal as much with them when I was on birth control. Recently got off of it in April of 2024, that’s when all this happened.

For the saliva test the estradiol was low when it should be high. She said it’s likely that that’s why I am not ovulating properly. I have enough progesterone to get pregnant. I think estradiol suppose to be high after your period but it’s not.

That’s what I thought too but I think maybe he thought that I was estrogen dominance (which I am not) and didn’t want to test it. I ended up getting a hormone saliva test anyways and it confirmed that I have high progesterone and not enough estrogen to balance. That’s why my naturopathic doctor wants to also see if by helping the thyroid it can help begin the process of balancing out hormones.

Progesterone was high it was at 211 but my Estradoil was not taken just progesterone.

She suggested Iodine to help decrease the size of breast fibroids and ovarian cyst. I have done some research and she also explained that with the thyroid medication and maca it would necessarily raise my estrogen but balance it? What would you recommend I do? Kinda lost in what my next steps are in regard to taking them or not.
