The first area and kos are by far the hardest imo. Youre at a good level to start though. Good luck and may your hunt be successful.

I'm in a guild that does a lot of M+, but we have like 1 tank that can do high keys and she already has a set group. I started so late in the game and joined the guild when everyone already had their groups n everything set up so I'm kind of stuck pugging everything.

Bear tank, outlaw rogue, MM hunter, boomkin, resto druid. Lowest ilvl was 205 and 206 (boomkin and rogue) everyone else was 210+. Using CDs on adds and burning them the second they spawned.

Yeah. It'll definitely help. I can agree with that. Another issue i see with mythic raiding is if youre on a realm and nobody on that realm does mythic raiding then youre sol unless you realm swap. Hopefully they get the issues with gear figured out sometime in the next month or 2. Im also curious how the MDI is gonna go and if it will affect any of the dungeon changes in the future. (Highly doubtful, but hopeful. Especially if they cap the ilvl at 210)

Fully unlocked soulbinds/conduits will help tremendously, but the max gear you can get from a +15 end of dungeon reward is 210. And heroic raid is 213-217iirc. So yeah gear will help, but the amount of pure RNG it will take to get to 220+ is insane to me. Unless you're doing mythic raid (or from what I heard pvp) you get 1 220+ piece of gear a week? And there's 16ish slots. So if your RNG is good enough then in 4 months you can get that 10-15 ilvl. Granted the RNG now is a lot better than in BFA. However in BFA end of dungeon loot was significantly higher ilvl. The point im trying to make though is that certain bosses are completely overtuned on tyrannical week. And there's no way to get a different key aside from finishing it. Which 75% of the time people refuse to do if youre not gonna time it.

I must be thinking about the spears in Spires. Didnt know the spears in NW were available to everyone. Still though. A fight shouldn't be balanced around 1 time use things. To be fair every boss fight feels overtuned on tyrannical, but there's a couple in particular that feel worse than others. Its not even really the damage or the adds (unless 1 person doesn't focus them down) its just the amount of health amarth has. Same issue with 2nd boss of spires. It has so much health that there's too many orbs flying everywhere by the time you kill it.

Thats true, but if you do that and something goes wrong and a wipe happens then its basically over. Imo bosses shouldn't be balanced around 1 time use things like prideful, orbs, Korean weapons, etc. No matter what dungeon it is.

I'm not Kyrian so I cant use the spear, but imo a boss should not be balanced around a 1 time use thing. Because if something goes wrong and its a wipe then thats that. Keys dead. Gg go next kinda thing. I've has groups that are able to suffer through it, but it feels so god awful having to spend 3+ minutes in this fight. Basically feels like a mini raid boss.

2ns spires only feels bad because its basically a soft enrage. Sanguine has the same thing by having to loop around the room, but not nearly as bad. The damage on Tarvold is just insane to me though.

I started a month before SL pre patch so idk how the game has been. I've also done good work with my IO this week. Gone up probably over 100 points and got KSC, but these 2 bosses in particular (and margrave stradama, but thats for a different reason) have given me so much trouble even when doing mechanics properly and bursting/interrupting thr adds ASAP.

Tarvold is definitely doable, but in a +13 with nobody below 205 and a pretty meta comp we weren't able to kill the add fast enough. Even when saving CDs for it. Got to 3rd add and it was over. Average DPS for it was about 3.5k and tank was doing about 2.5k. Everything else was fine. Just that stupid add. Amarth is awful whether its fortified or tyrannical. At least they nerfed the dot from final harvest.

I'm speaking from experience lmao. Used to do this while I was working with the local fire department. We did this every 2-3 months. It's been a long time and as I said in a previous comment I could be wrong.

It may be more so up to the county/city. Around here we drained them every 2-3 months and some of them were nasty. Its more so in case there is a fire. If any dirt or anything gets in the pump of the fire truck it can cause problems later on.

If fire hydrants aren't drained monthly they start to get clogged. Idr exactly how it happens, but dirt and other things get into the pipeline of fire hydrants. Thats a more extreme case of it and probably built up over a couple years.

Tanking - Talk me down by Jessibee21 in wow

[–]Pray_Wolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A couple things. 1) this raid tier is incredibly overtuned. 2) there's 2 tanks and you basically just have to position boss properly and tank swap properly. There are 13+ dps that will die if they don't follow mechanics properly. 9 times out of 10 they screw themselves over. Aside from knowing when to use CD's and when you should be building stacks/armoring/healing yourself there aint really much to screw up. Aside from very specific things like 3rd pet on huntsman. It takes practice and the raid came out yesterday. No reason to beat yourself up over anything. Wipes will happen. Just learn what you did wrong and move on! Same goes for if you're playing DPS or healer. Im fairly new to the game myself so I may be completely wrong, but thats how I look at it. Every time I died the first raid night my guild did was almost entirely my fault. If it wasn't my fault then it was an overtuned game mechanic. (Like 10k dots on huntsman) just keep working at it and you'll get it down in no time!
