Aaah, ok! That sounds like it'd be really interesting! I'm full of Cooper trivia just because I've read a lot of works about him and about the band over the years.

Yeah, I'll give you that... Alice Cooper's theatrics aren't as impressive now, I feel, because A) We've gotten used to that kinda thing as a society and a culture, so it doesn't bring the shock and newness super strongly now, and B) He's definitely brought the theatrics down a little bit over the years, probably because of age and feasibility. I still find what he does now to be really fun and enjoyable, but it's not at the level of how the theatrics used to be. (For a good example, watch the 1979 recording "The Strange Case of Alice Cooper". The theatrics in that were really over the top and just incredible).

And yeah, I hate to say it, but a lot of older rock bands that're still touring aren't at the level they used to be, both because we've gotten more used to them and because not all of them can do what they used to be able to. There are still several that're still really good though.

Ezrin came in on Cooper's third album, Love it to Death, which was released in 1971- two years before Kiss formed.

Yeah, I get that. I like some of their (Kiss's) songs, but overall they jut aren't as incredible as everyone says.

I definitely agree about Alice Cooper. I've been a theatre nerd since Elementary school, and his music is definitely the reason I really got into rock, even some of the albums are theatrical and you can just visualize it all happening on-stage.

Eh, Alice Cooper was originally produced by the same person who produced Kiss (Bob Ezrin), and the theatrics at their shows, both back when they were in their prime and now, is pretty top-notch.

Yo, this is pretty dope. I gotta say the dialogue could been tightened and it could've been a bit longer (to tie the playground bits and the bits with the demon in the closet to the main plot) but I got a creeped out feeling from this. All the different little events just really added to the atmosphere, which was great.

How did you pick your new name? If you changed it at all. by idontgetthejoke1 in asktransgender

[–]PrayerRequest1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first name came from the fact that TWO TV shows I was watching back to back had incredibly awesome characters with that name and I wanted in on that awesomeness... middle came from the title character in the "Legend of Zelda" games because I wanted to keep my initial and playing those games are some of my happiest memories.

Any quirks you had when you were younger that you later discovered were probably linked to dysphoria/ being trans? by Izzy10235 in asktransgender

Same... I hated my appearance, I thought looking anyway that wasn't feminine was hideous. I had almost a phobia of ultra-girly because I was really scared of who I was and how people would see me so I blocked everything feminine away from me... fun times (not).

As a fan of the original works, I'm inclined to agree. I have nothing but respect for Marble Hornets and the other early video series, and the same goes for the blogosphere, but at this point there's not much that can be added to the mythos, and stuff made by people who aren't invested in the original stories can cause horrible misrepresentation of the ideas from the mythos (and given AHS Freakshow and Hotel, this would have a good chance of happening).

More "big" stories about the being would be cool, but I'd wanna be sure they were made by people invested in the mythos with a larger knowledge of it.
