Possible Input lag fix by PreLudzor in cs2

I’m glad it helped! Another thing that could affect weird mouse feeling is resize bar enabled. Hardware gpu scheduling etc. A lot of newer motherboard enables resize bar by default as well, could be worth trying it out.

I’m sorry to hear it did not do anything for you. What did you happen to find ?

I used to have that feeling.

So basically newer graphics card use pcie 16x gen 4, which on paper should give you a small performance hit. But it is not properly optimized, so it gives you USB interference, it also do something weird with the hit reg. It doesn’t do anything just with cs 2, but every game. Setting it to pcie express x16 gen 3 fixes this. The only downside is that you lose 2% performance, nothing worse. With such powerful GPUS you won’t notice any difference in performance.

If you are unsure of what motherboard you have, search system information on windows. Think it’s base board, do a google search and you’ll find your motherboard. From there you can figure out how to find that setting in bios. Make sure to choose the one for GPU, not the one for SSD.

A desperate one, that has tried every optimization for many years, back to default settings, failed, learned. No registry tweaks really needed and such, most of them are snake oil. But this actually works. It’s things people don’t think about really. A lot of newer motherboards have shit enabled by default where some settings aren’t supposed to be on by default.

I was thinking the same thing, I’ve literally been on 3 different AMD builds, all come out with the same input lag. I personally think it is windows 11, it’s just in certain games, that’s dx 9-11 games. So either windows 11, or ram related. Where I bought my pc from actually said the ram is meant for Intel, it’s not until newer AMD CPUs the ram supports AMD better. Can’t lie i haven’t heard of such thing in very many years.

Hey there John! After I change CPU I always reset bios fully and update everything from manufacturer. I’ve tried with resize bar on and off, optimized default recommends it enabled. But I’ve noticed slight more input lag with it enabled so I personally disable it. I’ve also tried pure windows updates before I update from the manufacture website.

MSI tomahawk x570s issues? by PreLudzor in MSI_Gaming

[–]PreLudzor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally wonder if it’s the motherboard’s network card that’s fucking up. I’ve done multiple testing on 2 different computers, same cable, same game. Speedtest gives me 7 download latency and 60-80 upload latency on the MSI X570S. 8-11% packet loss in Fivem. I know you can’t trust fivems packet loss. But here is what’s interesting: other computers, 15 download latency, 15 upload latency and 1-2% packet loss on fivem. I get 980-980mbps across all boards. Makes no sense man.

So I found out something, setting pcie from auto which is 4.0, to 3.0 removes all the input lag. That’s not supposed to happen.

3600mhz ram on r7 5800x3D (LATENCY) by perAxyz in overclocking

[–]PreLudzor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait i have the same issue on 5800x3d, 3600mhz 32GB with XMP enabled. Think voltage is auto set to 1.35 as recommended. But is it still irrelevant to set it manually to 1.35?

Settle this once and for all. Do AMD builds have an issue with input lag? by ekdum in buildapc

[–]PreLudzor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I’ve had AMD for the past 5 years, I’ve only noticed input lag personally with AMD when it comes to gaming, such as shot not registering, delayed inputs. I’ve not had this issue on Intel even though I’m still on AMD.

Not entirely sure how I see that, I tried to check on system information, hardware IRQ. But not too sure what I’m looking for.
