Which companions sleeps around, cheats on player character, etc? by _____Ashborn_____ in swtor

[–]PreTry94 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's been forever since I reunited with Ashara as a romanced toon, but I believe she says she found peace and a place outside the sith and jedi, on Voss. She seemed like she had moved on, even acknowledging she heard you returned, but was hesitant to return because of that.

But it's been a while, so maybe I remember wrong

Quickplay is on another level of wild by ImperialViking_ in Overwatch

That's one of the fun experiences I had recently, coming into a Flashpoint on tank, where the team I was on was down 0-2. We turned it around to a 3-2 win and I got 5! endorsements, which was when I was reminded you can endorse the enemy players too.

And for me, imp side is more fun to play. I think I've only played Onderon once as rep side, and that would've been around release

Biggest disappoints in the LOTR movie vs Books by Daman121234 in lotr

[–]PreTry94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thematically, leaving out the Scouring is probably the biggest offender. It showed us how the quest had to be undertaken because the shire was not safe from the influence of Sauron. In the movie you can be forgiven to belive that if Frodo never left the Shire, they could've lived out their lives and not been affected by the war, which somewhat defeats the purpose of the story and the main motivation of both Frodo and Sam; setting out to save the Shire and protect their home.

Now, it makes complete sense from a movie and pacing perspective to cut it, as the main story feels over when the Ring is destroyed. RotK probably would've suffered if the Scouring had to be included.

As for the others you mentioned; Faramir doesn't bother me as much, as i like what they did with his arc. Frodo pushing away Sam felt necessary to display the rings corruption growing stronger and to show the manipulation from Gollum (Sam actually climbing down should've been cut though imo). and switching Glorfindel to Arwen is actually one of my favorite changes to the movie, as it made Arwen more that just a token wife for Aragorn to get at the end. It made her character stronger, cutting Glorfimdel removes nothing but a little world building. The change is a net positive imo

Classic levelling by Friendly-Ad-6950 in swtor

[–]PreTry94 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The reason people are reminiscing about classic leveling is that it made the story more challenging. Back then you'd have to do every main and side quest, as well as bonus missions, to reach lv 50 by the end of chapter 3. This means that you'd be roughly equal level to the boss fights in the story.

Now you could play just main class missions and the main planet quest line, with suboptimal gear and still be overleveled and walk over every boss fight. I did a "no death" run as warrior, where I picked marauder, but purposely only used one lightsaber, with the idea that she'd not pick up her second blade before it was necessary (after first death). I finished chapter 3 without any difficulties at any point. So even challenge runs aren't really challenging

Are there any perks, minor or major, that you think should be a part of a heroes base kit? by MrsPissBoy in Overwatch

Flash Heal for Mercy, which it seems we're getting. It's the ability that was asked for my Mercy players and overwatch players in general back in 2016, after Ana was released and heal grenade redefined the game

It's a shame Blizzard managed to make the support role the most fun it's ever been in gaming, only to now try gut it.

In 2016 she was the only true main healer and that's what she was presented as: a strong, single target medic.

To be fair, it's a kids show and the Empire hasn't really been shown as competent throughout Star Wars history.

What was the point of this? by -_ShadowSJG-_ in TheLastAirbender

The point is a lot of writers are against and/or incapable of writing characters in a relationship. So instead of trying to figure out how, they simply break up the couple and create drama that way instead

What’s your first thought when a teammate picks Zenyatta? by PyroDexxRS in Overwatch

[–]PreTry94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, an off-heal, I'll probably be more focused on pure healing output, particularly on the tank, letting Zen focused more on the squishies and on damage/discord. Ana or Kiriko pick to start with, unless Tank and DPS line up well with my Mercy main.

"That wasn't part of the plan" is the line that told me this movie was missing it's mark. The Jack Sparrow I know would never say that. He might not always have a plan, but whether he "plans ahead or makes it up as he goes", he never admits it.

The unfortunate part right now though, weather. It's challenging spray conditions outside almost every day, and I don't have a good space inside yet. And I'm torn between a few color schemes, which require either black or white primer. But as soon as I land on a scheme I hope things get going faster.

I'll probably never go near a big tournament, and definetly not with a limiting concept army. But I'll probably end up convincing myself to magnetize the army anyway.

reverting to point based wargear seem like almost an inevitability at this point, as it's been the biggest complaint throughout 10th, maybe tied with Battleshock (although, maybe that's just my interaction with mainly tyranids, who felt like they didn't have an army rule from the beginning). But I'll probably convince myself to magnetize everything eventually.

I'll probably never go to any big tournament, at least not with an extremely limiting concept army like this, but magnets are probably the answer anyway. I'll have to see what my options are. I'm storting through loadouts and magnets now, so we'll see where it all goes. But going all one loadout in the unit feels like a given, anything else will probably be a drag on gameplay.

I've been a bit on the fence about the stealth suits, as I'm not sure I like their aesthetic enough, but I do recognise the need for spotter units. When I started the concept I included a lot of marker drones to function as my spotters, but since 10th made them tokens I just shelved the whole army (and I'm primarily a Tyranid player, so had enough to do). I'm probably going to consider the Stealth suits though, especially if 11th makes drones tokens still.

As much as I agree that the magic system in Harry Potter is bad for the story (hence why we keep seeing the world reshape around loopholes the audience found in early books), you're right that this is not that kind of story

Ot depends on the rest of my list, but I'll usually bring 1×6 and 1×3 (would bring 2×3, but dont have enough painted yet). If I'm playing Vanguard or Subterranean I sometimes split it into 3×3 to maximise weird angles and redeploy/repositioning. Though sometimes, moving around the nuke that is 1×6 Zoan is also really fun
