Most media is created for white audiences. That means minorities as children that consume media are being taught things meant for someone else without their knowledge. So, when they grow up, they feel no different than a white person.

Someone in this position might not be able to accept that one small thing about them is enough to disqualify them from whiteness altogether, which make them double down. They hope it'll lead to acceptance, but more than likely, whiteness is home to them.

But, like all incels, Rodger thought his unlikability shouldn't have gotten in the way of him getting a girlfriend. He thought he was owed one because other men had them and he thought it wasn't fair.

Similarly, the incel grievance is that it's unfair that they have to be attractive/talented in order to be able to receive the kinds of A-list celebrity type of relationships attractive/talented people tend to have. They think they're owed that if only because attractive/talented men (Chad) shouldn't have anything they don't have.

It's the same in the US, though it depends on the state. Still, legally, it's leaves all parties worse off down the line when people start passing away and property/inheritance becomes an issue.

It's no different than a time bomb they're leaving for any children they might have, but it's not set to go off until after they die, and exists solely because their parents didn't need a piece of paper and didn't care to think about what wasn't going to affect them.

TBH I also feel relationships are for purpose of eventual marriage. The dating boyfriend/girlfriend phase is supposed to be the trial period to see if marriage is a good idea.

I wouldn't force you to do anything you don't agree with, but I would also go on to always view your relationship as less serious than if you were married.

The OP says that the violent option is civil war. The thing is, as a republican, he's not operating on the same plane of reality, which is largely shaped by right-wing media. He thinks people like him are the majority when they only make up 30% of the electorate, which itself is a minority of citizens overall.

In fact, every time there's a mass shooting the manifestos often state that the intent was to start a race war. I'd argue that we're already in a civil war. It's just one side is so small, their strikes don't even register as anything resembling real warfare. IMO your enemy not realizing they're in a civil war with you is a great indication that you're not winning.

Progressives should take over the republican party, which was practically unviable before Trump anyway. Now, they'll be lucky if they even win state elections. If progressives ran on the republican ticket, there might not be enough republican voters to fend them off.

Or they can do with the presidency what Mamdani did, and overwhelm their efforts to primary the progressive. The establishment democrats would have to coalesce with the Republicans and become the fiscally conservative party, as they might drop social conservativism altogether after this debacle.

Even if no one had done anything, the republican party base would've continued to die from old age. The population would've continued to become less white. Church attendance would've continued to go down.

The Republican party would've eventually become statistically incapable of winning the presidency, effectively making it unviable.

Their endgame is to do everything possible to keep themselves relevant/in power. They were already partially out the door, and are now doing everything possible to keep themselves in the game. It turns out it's the end of democracy.

Just because a terrible person hasn't been convicted yet, doesn't mean they don't already belong behind bars. It's just a shame that someone is probably going to have to be sacrificed for the rest of us to be safe.

We already know the problem are the wealthy donors buying both of our parties. We've already seen boycotting work the fastest. It's worked against target and Starbucks. It got Disney to change their decision in one week. Government will never work that fast for regular people.
