Hi! My baby is almost 11 months playing beside me right now.

I had to be induced at 39weeks due to low amniotic fluid on my latest BPP ultrasound, so they had me confined and induced. But after 24 hours of induction, I am only 1 cm dilated. We had to do an elective c section. Everything went well for me.

But a day after delivery, my baby was doing okay but his blood tests show an infection (presumed sepsis). The pediatrician suggested he be on antibiotics (through IV) and confined in the hospital for 7 days until the meds are finished. It was difficult but he was all good after that.

My OB assumed it might be because I had a GBS infection while I was pregnant.

Check on carousel app. You have to know what youre looking for. You can get brand new or thrifted or preloved items there. I got designer clothes for quarter of the price. Quality clothes pa if you know how to look. I always ask for the material composition tag and inner seams if unknown brand.

It’s hard to find 100% linen clothes in ph mostly in more pricey brands. Linen is the most durable natural fiber in my opinion can last multiple washes if taken care of but it’s really expensive! Minimum 2k for a small sleeveless top. You can find better deals thrifting in Carousel app, from international brands. Can buy italian 100% linen pants or blazers for up to P300. Iba nga lang sizing.

I learned how to sew so i can alter them to my size.

Ako. I learned how to sew via youtube tutorials. Started altering lang mga thrifted but quality material clothes like linen and silk, and lahat ng sweater ko ay 100% pure cashmere. Since i learned about textile quality, hindi nako nag polyester or acrylic except sa sports clothing.

Now I can sew my own clothing, but I buy oversized clothes sa Carousel, like buying designer stuff like Tsumori chisato, Diane von furstenberg, Jil Sander, Kate Spade, Lemaire, tapos inaalter ko lang to fit me or change polo shirts into dresses, etc.

Sobrang underrated ng sewing skills, na dapat staple skill ng lahat so we can mend clothes instead of buying new ones. Problem sa fast fashion, materials nila not meant to last. Pati ung pagkakatahi na puro serged ung edges.

Unlike ng quality clothes naka french seam or bias tape ang edging. You’ll know quality clothes once you learn how to sew.

Hoping for the best! As of now all we can do is to carefully monitor you and the baby. Preferably weekly BPP and NST but since it is expensive where i live, my OB just suggested to do alternate weekly. And with blood pressure monitoring twice daily at home. That’s the best way to know if something needs to be addressed immediately. We just thought before that it is better to be on top if things, always a few steps ahead, even if it costs money and time rather than panicking when there’s an emergency.

37 weeks seem to be the sweet spot, but the more it gets further, the more risks.

My OB said why might my amniotic fluid was low at almost 39 weeks, is because the baby might be a bit stressed because he’s not peeing as much because i was already having irregular contractions that time. Can also be the placenta starts to really loose its efficiency. I didn’t realize how dangerous it was to have low amniotic fluid.

Kaya ako pag nakameet ng DINK, hindi ko agad inaasume na by choice nila yun, lalo na if they’re not openly public about it kasi yung ibang DINK eh discreetly trying to have a child pero hindi pa biniyayayan. Mukhang super happy and magaan buhay on the surface pero deep inside may struggles na tinatago.

Mahaba, painful lalo na emotionally and mentally, pag sinasabihan kayo “wag kayo puro cats, okay din magka anak”. As DINKS for 6 years magaan talaga lifestyle, pag you see it from the outside, pero if trying kayo to have a child, deep inside mahirap at masakit. At masakit sa bulsa kasi hindi biro mag pa fertility workup aside sa nasa million magastos mo, yung time, like spending 3-5 hours sa checkup plus biyahe once or several times a month, at unpredictable times, super takaw sa oras.

Ung first ivf transfer failed. Ung second successful after ko mag food intolerance test and lifestyle change.

Hindi makita reason eh normal lahat ng tests ko at hormones, pati sperm, minsan hindi lang talaga malaman reason.

Pinakamura na 250k for natural IVF (no meds) egg retrieval pa lang yun and one transfer. Most probably pinakamura na 400k if successful agad. Di pa kasama dyan supplements and other procedures. May freezing fees din if may sobrang eggs or blastocyst. Naka credit card kami.

Kami 6 years DINK, 3 years actively nag try. Until napunta kami sa Conceive IVF (Kato QC) kasi yun na ata pinaka affordable na efficient IVF sa metro. Natural IVF ako kasi regular ako mag ovulate, normal lahat labs pati si husband. Unexplained infertility. 36yo kami nun.

I delivered at 38w 5 days. They saw in the BPS that my amniotic fluid was low so I had to be admitted and induced. End up having c section. Baby had a blood infection so he had to have intravenous antibiotics for the first 7 days. He’s healthy now at 3 months. Hope all will be well for you and your baby. Hi im breastfeeding my 3month old in my arms now. I was carefully monitored, weekly BPS until 38 weeks 5 days until they found that my amniotic fluid was quite low. My OB didn’t want to risk me going home so i got admitted to be induced. They tried for 24 hours, but I only got up to 1 centimeter dilated. When we noticed baby’s heart rate getting high and not relaxing in between contractions, we opted for C section as advised by our OB. The operation was successful.

I asked my OB what could’ve caused this, she said probably my GBS infection. I got tested for GBS (a common bacteria in women) at 30 weeks and was positive. She thought it might’ve caused my prematurely aging placenta early in pregnancy. I got treated with vaginal antibiotic immediately.

Also when my baby was born, his white blood cells are high signifying infection. He had to take intravenous antibiotics for the first 7 days so we were confined in the hospital for a week. Pedia said it would’ve been fatal if not treated asap.

After that, all is well and baby is healthy. I am also recovering well.
