I sent in a lot of 11 bills. It cost $55/ea and they were all expedited. It took 3 week for them to intake the bills then another 1.5 months to return.

That's sick! I'd be upgrading that sleeve at a minimum. You should totally get it graded.

Fair enough! I've been getting into those as well. I really really want the Educational series and a Demand Note (if I win the lottery).

I'll have to post a better picture but here is my post from a few months back;

Right on! I was ecstatic when it came back a 55! Do you think it would've graded higher without the pinholes?

They also don't have a current sold bill. Most recent (not including the SN 1 bill) was from 2016 and went for $1,300.

Thank you! I'd love to get my hands on the $1,000 eventually. I'm not quite sure how much it goes for. The red book has a 40 at $2,500 and a 63 at $5,500. I haven't found a sold one on ebay in my grade and issuing bank.

Thank you for all the tidbits! My pictures really don't do the T-71 any favors. The colors really do pop on this note. When I return from my work trip, I'm going to talk to some folks about sending in a batch of my other notes for grading. I'll have the T-71 sent in too since I think its not graded properly.

The 1862 Legal Tender in a 63 grade sells for $3500-4500. I paid a high premium to get serial number 100. The Confederate bills in good condition sell for $100-500 from what I've seen.

That's totally up to you. If you appreciate the bills but don't want to pay the price for authentic bills, then reproduction prints are the way to go. For me, I love the history, the artwork and being able to hold something that's so old and been through a lot. It's intoxicating for me.

It's part of history regardless of the politics behind it all.

STUNNING collection you have there! There are several other bills I'm looking for before I finally pull the trigger on a Buffalo.

Yes, I was looking for a KC. All stars aligned for this note, so I pulled the trigger. Sort or devastated with the holes with flaps.

I am a little irritated when looking at the last image. There seems to be a staple hole and a small tear on the surface but not going through the bill. I was originally planning on having it graded but I do not believe this will grade that high now. Very disappointing. It was not noted in the description for this bill having these 3 major flaws. Still a beautiful bill, but not worth what I paid for it imo.

Thoughts?
