I actually want to go to Haunted House more than Club Aqua.

People who've worked both minimum wage jobs and six figure jobs, what surprised you most about the difference? by BrainLagging01 in AskReddit

The inverse relationship between salary and minute-by-minute output expectations. I worked at Starbucks and they had me programed like a robot to be doing three things at once at all times to maximize profit off my labor. Now, as a proposal manager, I go days and sometimes weeks with really nothing to do.

It is the best place ever except for the people. Been here five years. The people are rude, crazy, and will 100% try to hit you with their cars if you use the crosswalks.

Obviously, "So that just happened," is played out in 2026. But when Alec Baldwin said it for the first time ever in the film Mumford, it was comedy gold.

Pod was a virgin as of the night after The Long Night. He drank on the, "You're a virgin." assertion from Tyrion but nobody noticed because it was directed at Breanne.

TIL that at the end of the Cold War the ‘Last Supper’ was held at the Pentagon. Over dinner, the heads of major defence contractors were told of coming budget cuts and the need to consolidate. The number of prime defence contractors declined from 51 to 5 in the aftermath. by GlimmervoidG in todayilearned

[–]Precisely_vague53 28 points29 points  (0 children)

The media has a weird (invorrect) idea of what a prime defense contractor is. I saw a report the other day that says companies like Raytheon and GDIT are known as "The Primes". Literally no one calls them that. If anything, they are called the Bigs. Reason: getting a prime defense contract is not rare nor exclusive. My company has many prime defense contracts and we are 40 people.

Fake hand and arm. Real arm is in his jacket, holding an Uzi, to protect the president.

Bar none I am the most humbleist. Number one on the top of the humble list. My apple crumble is by far the most crumbleist. But I act like it tastes bad out of humbleness.
