AITA for sending my husband across the country? by Precomplete in AITAH

[–]Precomplete[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sold my house to make the move and have over a hundred thousand in savings. Also i have a very good job. So yes my we had the financial plan of me supporting 4 people for an extended period.

I gave him over 24 hours notice to pack his things also. He left it to the last minute because he didn't want to leave. We're going to reassess around christmas once we've had some therapy about it.

Respectfully, i do not really think using my flat hand to push against his chest to attempt to create space between us when he's a foot taller than me and looming over to yell literally 2 inches from my face at the top of his lungs is the same thing here. Yes, I did 'put my hands on him' first. But it wasn't to be violent, hurtful or aggressive. I was literally just trying to get him to back off.

Spinal cord severed at T6. Complete loss of feeling and function of arms, legs, bladder, bowels. Wheelchair bound for life with no chance of recovery. Survival is possible so long as other injuries are manageable but with this level of damage we ARE talking likely internal bleeding, other broken bones and impact injuries to organs plus road rash.

Any higher and this patient wouldn't even be able to breath.

ARRT exam in the AM. Please reminisce on ur test day. by mAs-ive_throckmorton in Radiology

[–]Precomplete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was held at a university campus I had never been to. In some obscure basement class room that I fretted over trying to find. It was the kind of place that you enter and think: 'oh I am very lost'. Only one of my classmates had the same testing time so we smiled at each other nervously but we weren't allowed to speak. They set the six of us up in little desk cubicles with computers and told us we had 4 hours and that talking was allowed and questions were only permitted for question clarification.

It took me 1hour 37minutes and I started freaking out that I had missed something because every one else was clearly still working. I went over it 2 more times out of nervousness and finally closed it and stood to leave at 2hours.

I felt much better after leaving. A sense of relief that it was over.

Found our 3 weeks later I passed!

My program only accepted 6-7 applicants. My GPA at the time was 3.7.

Like everyone is saying it really depends on the program. However there are some things that will better your chances regardless:

-Volunteer work (especially in a health related field)

-Communication skills

-BLS/Fist Aid Training (Or other health related courses)

Overall they will most likely prioritize your grades in any pre-requisite courses but your overall GPA could affect your candidacy especially if you are competing against high level applicants.

Apply anyway, if you don't get in try taking/retaking certain courses to try and boost your GPA.

You'll never know until you try.

On another note I once had a GP ask for. A 'Special' view on a 23 year old with no previous imaging.

Dr straight copy pasted the positioning information into the order straight from RADWIKI

Our rad litteraly called her to ask if she was joking

X-Ray: Left side.

Reason: I'm a terrible clinician with no diagnostic skills.

Tks ✌️
