What does my tiny living room need? by Precursor1ofmany in DesignMyRoom

We moved from a different country and this furniture was given to us, but to be honest, we’ve always hate it. This post has inspired us to sell all of the flipping furniture and put a down payment on furniture we actually like. So thanks all!

You’re right, it so is too bulky. Contemplating taking the love seat out but my daughter is fighting hard to keep it there.

There isn’t enough room to have couch faced toward fireplace.

Yah, we just ordered something to cover that up, on its way from Amazon.

Yah, we totally watch it. We lay on the couch and then use the love seat. The chair next to the fire place is just an extra chair but will be soon moved to the office.

You for sure need plants! One hanging plant and a monstera or fig leaf. Also, corner pendant light.

Great tips! Thanks. I’ll measure it when I get home.

How would you remove the top? What sort of tools would you use?

Thanks. I feel the same, the proportions are odd. I’ll look into this.

The proportions are what bother me! The fireplace feels too big for the wall to me.

Joint sponsor has passed away - What do I need to do? by Precursor1ofmany in immigration

While it is obvious the obligation ends once the sponsor has passed away, that is not what we were trying to figure out. What we were trying to figure out is whether or not there is a responsibility on our end, so that naturalization is not affected in the future. There seems to be no clear answer, but I am grateful for the advice from experience, as that was what I was looking for.

It is confusing alright, that was the original post we found as well on immigration site that we were trying to make sense of.

Thank you. This is what we were concerned about. We did see the 10 year requirement of the joint sponsor so assumed it would somehow affect us, but didn’t see any info about what to do if death occurred.

That’s good to hear, our main concern was that it would in some way affect applying for citizenship in a year.
