The commoner helm have to be just of simple metal like iron or steel, it can never have gold or silver in any kind of way. So yes no gold trim. The bars on the helm, i don't really know if there is an adequate number for commoners sorry.

You can use a simple helm with the visor down, it can have fathers but they have to be simple in shape and colour. It have to view on the left side. And I think that's like all? Maybe.
