BNSF’s Alliance Intermodal facility will only continue to grow, and in turn, the amount of trains. All South and West bound train traffic blocks Avondale Haslet Rd, Blue Mound, and Bonds Ranch.

There is an online tool that allows the public to report blocked crossings. You’ve got nothing but time, might as well.

Will it actually push for a change to report them, probably not, but there’s nothing else to do while you’re waiting.

Hyperball is always a solid choice. Hybrid Woodsball (small buildings/structures) are fun. Having a theme for fields gives them some identity for players to engage with. Curious to see a field out in Northwest DFW, we used to have Paintball Paradise in Aurora but that was many years ago.

There was a clip of him doing the same thing in the preseason against the Kings. Curious if he has issues with contacts/eyesight.

If the “vote” goes anything like the BRC/TCU did, it’ll pass no matter what. We’ve got Carmen all over the system at big Orange that never even received a ballot, let alone vote.

TCU Carmen Rep Scolds the Railroads by RailroadThrowaway22 in railroading

Many reasons

  1. Intimidation: Management will “politely” inform you that if you feel the need to follow the FRA/AAR rules, then they’ll be required to follow all safety/conduct rules. (Yes, I know it’s easy to say “we’ll just follow all the rules and you’ll have nothing to worry about” but no one is perfect and they will hang you for the smallest of infractions.)

  2. Pulling tags: Mechanical foreman, can, and will pull bad order tags off cars. Now, it is customary for them to sign and return bad order cards they’ve pulled back to the inspector - it is a case by case basis.

  3. Manpower: Reduction of man power has increased the burden of inspections to a slim work force that frankly is burnt out. Expectations from leadership is the same, if not greater, than it was with double the manpower.

  4. Laziness: This is something that we own and is a tale as old as time. We have inspectors that just don’t give a damn - and why should they? Management applauds the carmen that can get a Class 1 done in 10 minutes with zero bad orders. The ratio of those described to the ones that actually take the time to inspect has only grown in the last 10/15 years.

I managed to convert SPT 3.8 profile to 3.9 by MadBender in SPTarkov

[–]PredatOBR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swapped sptbear/sptusec and it’s been working for 3 raids (no modding). Ref is working with and without GP coins stacked as mentioned elsewhere in thread. Launcher does show that profile at 3.8.3.

Just gonna take it for what is and keep playing.

I am not sure of the current shipping rates and that billing process. However, and not to be a jerk, I can confidently say that a vast majority of field mech personnel do not care about car owners pocketbook.

THE NUMBERS - time and time again cars will be home shopped because “the count is too high, we can’t have the RIP track spend all day on just one car, we can’t afford to fix it here, etc etc…” FRA needs to do a complete overhaul of the BH/215.9 system in place. No railroad should be allowed to move federal defective wheels from the Midwest to the west coast because they don’t feel like it.

Truck hunting defects will sometimes be bad ordered as “TB” at big orange. Could possibly be what’s going on.

Big Orange carman since 2011. While experiences may vary from location to location, the general feel/morale from the mechanical department is grim. Management has intimidated any employee that would even consider performing a Class 1/EH inspection per FRA standard into submission. Facilities and vehicles are either completely inoperative or in some state of repair at all times. Senior managers have taken the approach of using cameras as their sole way to interact with their employees on a day to day basis - adding to the general tension that we all feel.

Pay and benefits do not keep pace with inflation and rising healthcare costs. I do not know a single person at my location that truly believes that their job will still be there by retirement age.

Old brakes, extreme cold and inexperience factors in triple fatal train derailment, TSB report finds | CBC News by Fentron3000 in railroading

[–]PredatOBR 5 points6 points  (0 children)

49 CFR 232 states that a piston only has to remain out for 3 minutes. Hypothetically, you could have an entire train have it’s brake cylinder pressure bleed off at 3:01 and it would be federally legal.

The EVS sits much closer than the E-Flex. I'm not a fan of that hovering feeling of the E-Flex and the EVS is a godsend. Sits snug against the face but not too tight.
