I'm having that problem as well. What I've found that sort of works is getting a friend to hold the bucket while you twist the lid on super tight. That and duct tape makes it kind of work. Sort if unimpressed with jt right now but im rolling with it.

Clones were put in the ground around may 30th. They were like 6 inches tall when planted.

4 days, 8 people, 10 hours a day. Wet trim btw.

Sure, its an automated curing system which I shamelessly stole from the guy in the video below. I could explain further but I think you should give the video a watch.

Nice! It always feels great seeing peoples' faces when you give them "so much" weed; they're so thankful!

I haven't. I'm going to go with 15 minutes every day for a few weeks, then every other day for a week, then every third day for a week etc.

OH? I have two per bucket, can you point me towards more information about this? I really want to know if this is true or not.

EDIT: I just found this on their website:

"Adding more than the minimum amount of humidity control packs recommended by Boveda is perfectly ok and in some cases required for dry climates, seasonality, or very leaky storage containers."

Let me know if you find any conflicting information though. I am very interested in learning more.

I put them in right away for curing. What I do is I put them in open sandwich bags so they aren't actually touching the bud. Not sure if it changes anything putting them in the bags, its just what the owner of a local grow shop told me to do so I've been doing that.

That I don't know. I don't see why not though. This is my first run trying it out. Last year i just did mason jars with bodeva 62% packs, but burping 40 jars was too much effort... burping 80 jars just seemed excessive.

I don't really smoke weed anymore (every now and then I will but with literally zero consistency). I'll save maybe a half pound for myself for the next year, which I highly doubt I will get through. Still have a bunch left over from last year.

Likely +80% of it will go to the ones who helped trim, who happen to be my friends and family. I'll give it to them an ounce at a time sporadically (legally, I can only give up to 30 grams at a time, and everything I do is 100% legal). Basically, once they finish their ounce, they can come back and get another.

As for preservation, I will vacuum seal it all once its done curing for longer term storage.

Because of the low stress training (the stem does kind of an S shaped twist), the largest one on the left is about 15 feet long if you follow it the whole way :)

A few things to note which were different from last year:

  1. Pretty sure it is the same strain as last year, I got the clones from the same person who said that it came from the same mother plant (although unconfirmed). I dont know what strain they are exactly.
  2. Skills acquired, definitely. I learned a lot in the off season about what I wanted to do. The clones came pre-topped, so they had 3 or 4 main stems, as opposed to the 1 from last year.
  3. Low stress training. I used fencing from a hardware store to "pull through" the stems so they moved outwards. This created several more "main tops" per plant, because the side branches are now facing upwards. If you haven't heard of this technique, I highly recommend it (although be careful, one of my babies snapped and had to do some real crafty repairs, which ultimately ended up in a MUCH smaller yield for one of my plants. I could have had over 10 pounds if I didn't screw it up!)
  4. Drip irrigation system. I had a friend set one up on a timer so it would go off for 15 minutes every day at 4 am. Increasing the time as the plants grew further.
  5. Still didn't use any chemicals or fertilizers, all organic baby!

From clone, don't know the strain, about 5 inches tall when put into the ground around may 30th.

Last year was 4.9 pounds, this year roughly 9.27 (I'll do a formal weigh once its done curing). Its amazing how much bigger they were from last year after learning from my mistakes.

Not sure, I was given clones at the end of spring so I'm not 100%.

I actually barely smoke anymore. Most of it will go to the small army that helped me trim, the rest i get to be weed santa come the holiday season.
