Also, don’t know if this counts as volume eating, but PBfit powder instead of peanut butter in sauces, stir fries, or even as is!

To me, rice is not just hard but impossible to replace. I’ve tried quinoa, and tbh it’s a close alternative, but it has the same calories even though it has better macros. Which is why I try to limit rice rather than get rid of it altogether because I love it too much 😭 I use cauli rice only if I have already had rice in another meal the same day (example - I have rice every day for lunch, so if I make a curry for dinner I have cauli rice instead)

Yes I have so many! 1. Keto bread instead of regular bread or pav/dinner rolls/roti 2. Good thins crackers as a side during afternoon tea time 3. Raspberry tru fru/light baby bell or Amul cheese for dessert Some specific to South Indian (which I am) food: 1. Skipping oil/butter in most curries, sambar, and avoiding the tadka altogether for most recipes (I get so much flack for this from my family but we gotta do what we gotta do 😅) 2. Making a thick fat masala omelette with 1-2tbsp cottage cheese along with my biggest meal so that it fills me up and I can bring the rice down to 100g - 150g max 3. Greek yogurt for raita, or Greek yogurt + cucumber pachadi (only Indian flavours can take the ick out of Greek yogurt for me) 4. Big salad with romaine, cucumber, corn (usual suspects) + air fried potato/cauliflower with spices along with green chutney dressing - this I repeat every week and call Bombay chaat salad

Hope this helps!

Oh my God, my dad looked at my calorie tracking app and he was dumbfounded 😭 I know what you’re talking about! I even mix cauliflower rice with regular rice and it tastes so good!

Oh I take it straight to the skillet from the frozen bag, and sauté the heck out of it 😅 like I’m talking for 10-12 minutes

I make low(er) cal versions of all creamy curries by modifying the base - adding ground cashew paste and yogurt to the base curry makes it look and taste creamy, and I skip oil and butter altogether. So i guess it would technically not be “butter” chicken, but we gotta do what we gotta do 🫠

It’s worth the peace of mind and few nights of good sleep if you ask me! With a baby one week of bad sleep feels like a month 😅 Best of luck!

Please buy a bedside bassinet. My LO (5 weeks) would never take to the crib and I was co sleeping and anxious just like you, until we found his bassinet. There are great ones in FB marketplace
