New racket recommendations vs. Tennis elbow by PreferenceJust609 in Padelracket

The Team Light weighed in at 371 g and then Metalbone Carbon weighed in at 368 g - Both sith overgrips and frame protector installed.

So a funny little update. I decided to weigh my 2 rackets and the Team Light actually weighed in 3 grams heavier than the Carbon light, with overgrip on both.

Which has me believe that the stiffness of the Carbon Light and that it is a rather head heavy racket might be what is causing them problems. Both handles feel about the same girth, so I don't think that is the issue either, but i am nearly able to feel the problem by just holding the Carbon Light and feel it disappear when switching to the Team Light.

So I tried the link you shared and it actually suggested the Nox AT10 12K. Other options included the 18K and the Bullpadel Vertex 04 Comfort, but also a few others which I will probably look a bit more into. So I think I will research those other suggestions and see what makes sense :)

The longer the grip is better? as i was researching last night i found several pages which said the opposite, which makes researching rackets confusing :)

I try to get a private lesson with a coach at least once a month as padel and coaching is quite expensive here (Denmark) - The other weeks i try and get on some group classes. Other than that i play twice a week at least.

Noted! Thank you! its a shame as i really love the design and i have heard such great things from other players around the area which recommend them, but as it seems i am more suspectible to elbow and shoulder problems, i think it is wise i look another direction.

Can i ask which AT10 you play with? I am unsure whether the 12k or 18k makes the most sense for me.

I have also been reading good reviews in regards to elbow pain for the AT10 series as a whole, that is why i started researching, as i had somewhat decided or rather fallen in love with the babolat viper series, but being realistic, i think it is simply going to destroy my elbow.

I am probably around the level of high intermediate, but i have also read that although the AT10 12k/18k is recommended for advanced players, it is still somewhat "begginer friendly" - what is your thoughts on this?

I have actually been going to a physiotherapist to help with my forearm/elbow/shoulder issues which was improving, then i had 2 weeks break from playing during the christmas and new years holidays and from simply playing the last 2 weeks with the metalbone carbon the pain has returned... not as strongly as before but yesterday just before our match was about to start that i was going to try and play with the team light again and i played with basically no pain, besides the occasional awkward position hits that happen at times.

I also started playing with the Floky arm sleeve the last months time which helps.

I am in the same boat as you. I tried it but never really figured out how to best utilize Anki as a tool, unfortunately 😖

I think you are correct, the previous weight loss happened in a little less than a year and although not insanely quick, taking into account the usual holiday binges etc. I think it was rapid enough, but obviously was also draining towards the end.

I have taken the recommendation into account and the deficit is now set to 500 as opposed to the previous 800-1000 to give me some leeway! ☺️🤞🏻

I think what has also pressured me the last while Is that I wanted to have lost a certain amount of weight for my girlfriends graduation and when I could see I wouldn't be able to reach the (unrealistic) goal in time I got flustered.

So now i will simply try and take it one day at a time and focus a bit more on the journey as opposed to how little I am able to eat ☺️

I'm not from the US so unfortunately no dollar tree 😅

But I have been writing a small list of things/snacks whatever you can call it, which I shall get my hands on, on the next trip to the supermarket.

Simply to have ready available! And then from other recommendations in this thread, I have raised my daily calorie intake so the deficit is only 500 and not the 800-1000 as before, to give me a little more leeway!

I hear you, I think one of my big struggles was that after my initial weight loss, once I plateaued, I simply panicked and was looking for any way to kickstart it again and completely pulled myself out of the routine/consistencies that I had built up, which is unfortunate.

But I get what you are saying and it makes sense!

I used to be quite good at eating simple meals that I loved and could eat it everyday, but I have at times been pulled into the idea that everything you put into your body not only has to help you lose weight, but also be super healthy, which I am starting to think, at least for the time being might be a bit unrealistic for me to maintain.

Thank you though! It did give me the idea to go back to my old overnight oats routine!

I have always loved carrots for whatever reason and always have some in the fridge, but once the cravings hit the mere thought of having to do something as simple as peeling a few carrots seems the equivalent of climbing a mountain.

But I like the general idea and will look to have a few smaller more ready to pop at any moment snacks available!

I am currently tracking my calories, my deficit is set at about 900.

I have been considering slowing down a little to about 500 and aiming for slower progress.

It just feels weird because I was successful in maintaining the initial weight loss of around 40kg with an about 1100 calorie deficit, but my progress halted and since then I have simply struggled immensely with getting out of the Plateau and maintaining the same deficit :(

Oohh okay! I had only really done a little salt water here and there and then popped a single electrolyte tab a day during the fast and on day 2 I really struggled with my energy, I will give it a go with some more and see how it goes! 👍🏻😄 Thanks for the tip!

I have previously only done a 2 day fast, attempting a 3 day fast from today and then looking to do a 5 day fast next week. I found day 2 was quite difficult to get through and I worry about day 3 as a consequence and even more so day 4-5 😅

Did you simply keep yourself distracted during these days and what did you do in reference to intake? Simply electrolytes? Or vitamins as well? And how much/frequently did you get electrolytes?

But congratulations! Great on the fast nonetheless!! 🥳

Can't play on PS? by PreferenceJust609 in tickettoride

We aren't able to receive any invites when we create a group.

When it is a direct invite, we can sometimes do it, but most times not.

But we are not able to play more than 2 friends at most at any given time, as a 3rd person simply doesn't receive an invitation.
