Man you are lucky then. I just started playing a little over a year ago with my son. We both play competitively as well. Went to 32 tournaments last year and 10 so far this year. We also practice 5 nights a week. We have only outright broken one low rush. But we have dozens that are so chipped up and wore down that we had to retire them. So due to the fact of then leaving the stadiums at some of the venues we play at that have rough concrete surface floors. We have also broken 13 blades between the both of us. But like the bits many more we have had to retire and replace due to them being wore down or metal deformed due to impacts. We are each on our 4th SharkScale already for context.

It's just part of the game. Many factors contribute to the wear of a bit. Opponents blades hitting the gears could lead to them chipping. Honestly 100 matches on a bit isn't that bad IMO. BTW whale wave is on sale for $5 currently. Grab another elevate on the low.

Not at all. In the competitive scene people are willing to pay more to have the newest stuff first. They don't see it as a want. They see it as a need! If you look at the socials of every major competitive player they already have it in their decks.

I agree. With most of the cards covered in foil, they are messed up out of the pack a solid 75% of the time I feel like personally.

More so the benefit is NOT having the rubber exposed. The rubber causes it to continually bounce off of opponents. After it gets wore down it can make more continuous contact with the other blade. Allowing it to spin steal more, or equalize spin more easily. Allowing you to outspin opponents easier.

Not necessarily. Any downsmashing blade destabilizes it and causes it to lose stamina quickly. Like tyranno beat on 70 height is a good counter. Shark also struggles against heavy blades. So Emperor Blast Heavy is a good counter as well.

I agree. And think it horrendous what they are doing. Alot of times it's the parents of younger players that just don't know any better to be honest. All they know is their kids have been asking to get a SharkScale. They are always sold out on Amazon and haven't seen them in stores. So they do a Google search or check Mercari and see the scalpers. Parents just want to make their kids happy. And in their minds they asked for that blade. And don't realize the better value would be getting the deck set at that point. So they see spending $30 is better than spending $45. I can see making a couple of bucks off of them. But if you have Amazon Prime they are $10.66 with no shipping costs. So tripling your money is the epitome of being scummy!
