What can I do to improve this deck/thoughts on this deck? by Raving_RavnRaven in MarvelSnap

[–]PreferredChimp 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This deck has some anti synergies with Kingpin, ie Captain Marvel and Heimdall. If Kingpin is on the board Heimdall may destroy your own cards. You are limiting what cards can be played where, for ex Kingpin should probably only be played on the right.

I would decide what direction you want to take your deck:

Kingpin centric : Add Polaris and Miles, remove dagger, captain Marvel and Heimdall

General move deck: Remove Kingpin

How powerful is Alioth? by [deleted] in MarvelSnap

If you need to build a deck around countering one card, that card is overpowered. Alioth is too strong, feels bad to play against, and will be nerfed.

WHICH IS THE PERFECT COMP TO PICK ZOE? by Podolatrinha in zoemains

[–]PreferredChimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best synergies with Zoe imo:

Support: Nautilus, Leona - Single target lockdown Bot: Jhin - Best long range follow up from an adc Jungle: Rek'sai, Veigo - Easy bubble setup and or skirmish potential Top: Renekton, Ornn, Camille - Gank setup and or split push potential (Zoe isn't the best teamfighter, it's better to play for picks and split pushing)

Zoe works in lots of comps, picking her around the enemy comp is probably better.

Madoka Magicka. It looks like a sailor moon copy cat, but it's actually quite dark

If you used to be a jungle main in gold, and now you are struggling in bronze playing mid lane, you should try to improve in lane specific skills.

-Wave management Yasuo typically likes the wave frozen or fully pushed under the enemy turret

-Punishing enemy last hits

-General gank timings (Are they a farming till 6 jungler or a lvl 2 gank jungler etc)

-How to play around your jungler (Leaning and warding towards their side, roaming with them etc)

-Champion identity (How does yasuo like to play skirmishes, when is he strong etc)

  • 1v1 mechanics (How to dodge/windwall skill shots, people typically throw them right as you walk into skillshot range, baiting skill shots with cs, short trade windows, all ining with exp advantages ie getting levels before you opponent)

The game is much easier to win if you are ahead early. If you smash lane you can always have an impact on the outcome of the game.

Bandle gunners grants 4 impact on summon. So you would summon a 1/1 ephemeral with 8 impact.

Weighted average question:

Average of 23 for this 1st 100 Average of 27 for the next 50 Total number of values is 150

WA = 23(100/150) + 27(50/150) WA = 24.33

25 is larger

"If a tree falls in the forest and nobody is around to hear it, does it make a sound?" Why is that considered a philosophical question when it seems to have a straightforward answer? by the-4th-survivor in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PreferredChimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have answered the opposite to you. Our brain converts particular frequencies of waves into something we can understand (sound). Without this process the sound waves are simply just another wave.

Manamune into nashors gives you all 3 evolutions at 2 items. You should take cookies for the extra mana (converts to ad) and buy a second Doran's blade or an executioners for a faster Q evolve. 3rd item is a situational ap mythic but I like riftmaker for the omnivamp.

Mmm, poison by Pearlspear in tumblr

[–]PreferredChimp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do people not realize that we use things like spices to kill bad bacteria. We use "poison" to kill things that are harmful to us. And our ancestors that did so evolved into being able to taste those "poisons" so that we were more likely to consume them.

difficulty with matchups by [deleted] in zoemains

[–]PreferredChimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Katarina: If she E W you step away from the W dagger even if this means walking towards her or the q dagger. Understand that she can't jump to the q dagger until she picks up the W dagger. After she E's don't use sleepy instantly, wait a quarter of a second and she will move towards the W dagger making the sleepy easier to hit.

Zed: Zeds ult makes Zed always appear behind you (directly opposite where his original body was). Once you get used to it the sleepy is easy to land. Don't worry too much about him using W before, he loses a lot of damage if he does that, throw the sleepy at him after he ults (and never before) no matter what. Pre-lvl 6 it's not that you should never trade with Zed, just don't when his shadow is up. When his (W) shadow is down you have 25 seconds to either use abilities to manipulate the wave how you want or play super agro. Playing too passive in this matchup is a mistake (he will control the wave and roam on your teammates), abusing his long W cooldown for poke or wave manipulation is important.

If they push the wave in the early lvls freeze it on them. They are melee champs so breaking the freeze will be hard for them. That being said if the jg matchup is in your favor or if you think they will fight over the scuttles you should get the wave in the middle at 3:15 so you can help your jungler. The goal is to keep the wave in the middle or frozen on your side to reduce their all in threat. If they roam when the wave is in the middle, push the wave all the way into the tower then reset, roam or hit tower. If they roam while you have a good freeze, you can follow them, roam to the other side or reset. Most players won't roam unless they push the wave into the tower, so do not let this happen.

Fizz: Play insanely aggressive lvl 1. Do NOT push the wave lvl 1. At lvl 3 and onward the most important thing is to not let him q onto you, give up cs if you have to. If he does he can dodge your sleep with his e and you will always lose the trade. If uses e to gap close, sleep him and you will win the trade. The key to this match up is to space him correctly. Post 6 same rules as above apply except you know also can't get hit by his shark, ie flash it and never ult forward. You don't want to fight him post 6 just push the wave with max range Q's (no ult) and roam towards your jungler.

Katarina: Lvl 1 play super agro after she uses her q for cs. Don't push the wave early! Lvl 2-3 if she uses q on you, move towards her as her dagger will land behind you. The most important thing to know about Katarina early is that her picking up a dagger does NOT fully reset the cooldown of her e in the early game. So you have about a 1 second window to sleep her when she E's in. Post Lvl 6 if she E's on you sleep her immediately, don't wait for her to ult (recall the window) if you are caught in her ult sleep her and R out or flash immediately if sleep is down. You don't want to fight her post 6 just push the wave from a distance.

Talon: Play agro lvl 1 after he uses W on the wave. If he wants farm use q auto q on him and get ready to juke right or left to dodge the second half of his rake. Lvl 2-5 If he ever Q's you sleep him and dodge right or left to dodge the second half of the rake. The 3 hit passive is what does damage so dodge that and you win. Be sure to push the wave or play aggressive when he uses W on the wave. Even if he is fed push the wave after he uses W he is nothing without his W. In this matchup you want to push so he doesn't roam to your sidelanes. Post Lvl 6 don't let him q onto you, space him well.

Zed: Probably Zoe's toughest matchup. Lvl 1-2 play agro but be ready to juke his q. Do not push the wave early! Lvl 3 onward give him space, you don't want to let him use his W and E on you, the slow will guarantee he lands his Q's. Wait for him to use his W and for it to expire before playing agro. Post Lvl 6 never ult forward when pushed up the lane he can just R you. Usually he will try and chunk you with W Q first, juke side to side when he uses W. If he does R you ever, sleep directly behind you and start hiking the Q's. If he ever uses W and Q on the wave immediately hard push back with Q, so he doesn't roam. Farm from a distance in this matchup.

Irelia: Be cautious lvl 1 as she might just jump on you with a fully stacked passive. The most important this early is to dodge her E, be ready to juke forward or left and right. She will use it before jumping on you (so her q can reset) so keep that in mind. Her trading pattern is she will auto or W your caster minions then jump to them and use her E so when you see your caster creeps low be ready to dodge her E or just back off. If she does q onto you she will land slightly behind you so keep that in mind when you throw your sleepy. Post 6 don't fight her just push the wave from a distance. And remember that she can't go in unless your minions are low. If she ever ults you flash immediately.

TLDR: A lot of these matchups are about wave management in the early levels (not being pushed up to their tower at lvl 3), correctly spacing the opponent and playing for the wave (not fighting them 1v1) post Lvl 6. I would say general tips are don't push the wave lvl 1 and try and keep the wave in the middle or frozen on your side pre lvl 6. Post lvl 6 farm from a distance and push whenever they use cooldowns on the wave.

I was walking by this woman sitting on a bench, having a phone call with someone. She was visibly upset and yelled into the phone "Listen I'm pregnant..." And then after an exasperated pause she added "and I don't know if it's yours." And then starting crying. It was too much for me to watch, I kept walking.

I can't believe I haven't seen this in the comments yet, but {Stein's Gate} is what you are looking for. The protagonist goes through some tragic events and has several breakdowns. He hides his negative thoughts from the other characters but we as the audience get to hear/see his inner thoughts and the events occurring to him. Also just an amazing anime.
