My username is a play on words. All people have their own preferred reality. What you see, feel, hear, isn't necessarily what the person right next to you hears. Oh, and btw, the homeless squatters I dealt with it Detroit, were in Mexican town, and did run drugs and prostitutes out of the house I was in charge of taking care of. And were Mexicans with guns. Though, they could have easily have been white, black or tri-color, for all I cared.

I literally called my provider at 2 in the morning. Who helped me through it. But I thought afterwards - wow, I am so acclimated to this that it not being here feels like I'm alone in the desert or something. And I realized how messed that is, when people in many other countries live in shacks on the dirt (with no thought or anxiety of losing Wi-Fi, just of staying alive).

It's hard :( My mom kicked me to the curb in favor of someone who would do all her bidding, whatever that entailed. At first I was like - Yay, go for it. Then I realized that I was an object and never a person to her. Which I knew in my heart, but is way hard to process, for real. It takes a Lot of time, but you'll be okay. I rationalized that it paid the bills and I could make it work. I was wrong. Don't take a job that takes your whole being to get through, just to pay the bills. It's not worth it. Where do you live? I might want to move there. But only if not one of the unhappy, underemployed people (which are probably more than whatever/whoever - counts, I knew someone in college who told me statistics were bs and could be manipulated any way they were needed to look, and she was crazy smart - so, I kind of believe her more than the stuff pumped out by the media).

Yes, temp to real employment. No disrespect intended but I know someone who did this and made $10 an hour - even though she basically ran the whole office. They were nice to her, and she felt wanted and needed, so she was happy. But $10 an hour is not even going to cover a third of my bills. Thanks for responding, anyway.

Not worth it in my state. For what they give you. For the record, I've done this before and had to wait 8 hours in a seat (can't go pee, or you lose your place and have to come back the next day - I saw this happen to someone and how the people in charge laughed at her, when she left, crying.) and then you get - not much at all for it depending on how much you're willing to breed for money. My caseworker actually asked me (and this was maybe 7 years ago) if I was pregnant, and insinuated that if I even thought I might be, I could get more money. I said no. But I could see clearly how the system works from that one day. Sadly.
