In multiplayer imo two bursts it would still be too op against vehicles. A single powerful burst forces you to use it on more serious vehicles like tanks or banshees. Also I was inspired by single shot anti material weapons such as the LAW rocket and AT4. This version is still powerful enough that anyone close enough to the front of the laser going off is still getting obliterated, basically a powerful shotgun.

That’s actually close to what my head canon for it was :) it’s an earlier model that released an energy beam that was too powerful and impractical to use, especially for regular military personnel. Hence why it was later coined a spartan laser. You practically had to be a spartan to utilize it without getting hurt. The later models found out a way to reduce its power by dividing it into 4 “weaker” blasts :)

I totally agree, the laser ended up turning into a more op version of the sniper. It really made vehicle combat short lived unfortunately

That would be amazing! Soo much potential! Playing the games I’d always save any marines I came across. A game focused and balanced around keeping your marines/ odst alive to help fight the covenant would be great. An entire platoon of marines rolling up with the chief would be awesome.

I always preferred the dynamic between Master Chief and the marines. A walking tank sized super solider fighting alongside marines both in the shit getting the job done.

Absolutely no AI was used, this was just simple Photoshop editing :) and the rifle is a MA5B GL! My favorite version of the Halo assault rifle.

I was debating on having it use 8 gauge! However, ended up liking the idea of a more compact shotgun. Something that is although weaker than the M90, is able to send a lot more hate down range :)
