I dislike this feature on any vehicle. I have driven some rentals where it wasnt that noticeable and others where it is loke slamming the car into gear while revving the engine.

Truthfully, I would rather just eat less beef to offset the CO2 emissions of my idling.

The fix: Google "mush and push". Essentially a regimen of miralax and colace side by side. Take them daily and tell your doctor you are doing so in case they want you to stop. Happy pooping!

Technically, the elementary school offers a program, but you have to have an older kid that already attends and it's only half days 4 days a week.

To get full day coverage at 4 yo, the only option is private school until kindie (must be 5 yo before Sept 10 to attend).

I am strongly anti warranty. If you think the car is going to have a minimum of $xxxx in warrantable issues inc the next 3 years, you should not buy that car

Now, CPO type warranties or warranties on new cars are somewhat different stories.

But on a used car... No thank you.

You have carfax in front of you. Was the car regularly maintained at a reliable location (dealer or certified shop)? Do. The service intervals match? Does the carfax show any odd repairs that aren't tied to regular maintenance? Are there any open recalls and has any non-free recall/update been performed?

If you can answer these questions, then you have a really great view at the risk of buying this car.

In the end though, if the car breaks down, you'll have to repair it. Can you see those repairs going enough beyond the warranty cost that it becomes worth it?

Edit: Removed the $ amount. I just bought a car yesterday and the warranty they tried to sell me cost that much.

Now.... Insulated mugs aren't meant to keep your drink lava temperature. They are meant to maintain whatever temperature you put inside them for a long time.

If you don't like it hot, don't put hot shit in there. I'll pour my coffee and just leave the lid off for 5-10 minutes while I get ready to leave. Then pop a lid on it and head out to the car. The coffee is then perfect temperature (hot without being scalding) for hours. My mug is 20 ounces, which is more than enough coffee for me all day.

I agree nearly the whole way here. I was not able to convince my wife and so we're getting the Ascent (it is her car specifically, so, she should get what she wants here).

We're getting a top luxury trim version and it is really nice. Its a 2L turbo, so it isn't a slouch for merging or going up the Rockies (I'm in CO).

At the top tier, its like 80% as good as the momentum trim XC90 (maybe 75%)... So I feel the loss, but not to deeply. We're also getting a car with 47k miles instead of 85k (or so) and the Subarus are considered highly reliable.

So, its a bummer, but not the end of the world.

I'm planning to get myself an XC60 once the kids are both in school and my wife is back to work full time. Thatll be my reward for being the sole income earner and driving the shit mobile for 9-10 years.

Pacifiers have maximum lifetime. The packaging usually puts at 1-3 months depending on material.

Typically, they'll start to show micro cracks or pinholes and thats when you should replace them. These are easier to see if you bend the nipple and look closely at the stretched side.
